Best Metal Vocalist right now

Im glad you liked Jimmy's vocals. If you want to hear more singing along side his growls you can check out Haste The Day's 'When Everything Falls' album. Which I have if you would want.

I think I'll go with Rody Walker too
though I just listened to Suicide Silence for the first time today and I'd say their vocalist is up there as well, whatever his name is

If I had to list my 5 favorite vocalists:

Bruce ****inson-Iron Maiden
Randy Blythe-Larab of God
Rody Walker-Protest the Hero
Trevor Strnad-The Black Dahlia Murder
Johnathan Davis-KoЯn

The thirty seconRAB of drumline break in the middle of The Blister Exists is a surprisingly creative touch that other modern metal groups would do well to take a hint from, and I applaud their use of alternative percussion, but as soon as Corey Taylor's pussy little-boy vocals come back in and Mick Thompson's dull, uninspired, bonehead riRAB start up I remeraber that they wear stupid masks on stage and write terrible songs like New Abortion. IMO the utter retardation of the majority of the band's fans is an ample demonstration of the quality of the music and it's target audience. That's all I have to say.

For what it's worth I think Tool would be better off without Maynard. He doesn't deserve an H.R. Giger mike stand, no matter how ridiculous it looks.

Jimmy Ryan is good, but not that good. Don't get me wrong, I loved his work with Haste the Day but I don't think he's on par with quite a few other popular metal vocalists.

I will agree with you on Rody Walker. There was about a month or so when I listened to nothing but Protest The Hero and Misery Signals.

Personally...my vote would be for Hernan Hermida of All Shall Perish. Incredible range, and just as good live as he is on the albums. (the whole band is actually....flawless live performance)

Why have I not heard any mention of James LaBrie? D= Joey Belladonna?! I know it's a stretch, but Mustaine, mebbe? He can't really sing, but a lot of people like that. I mena, look at Bob Dylan! xD

I have two names to add.

ROB HALFORD.
(As Scottsy said) Devin Townsend!

Overall, right now I think Rody from Protest the Hero is my favorite vocalist. As far as straight screamers go, John Henry from darkest hour is the best, IMO

:D :D Yeah, James LaBrie... hehe, probably some fans of Dream Theater aren't blind and they know he isn't some special vocalist. But I am not against this band, I like them - in some way...

Btw Bob Dylan... Not my taste so much but big respect :)

Probably music isn't only about singing.

.....did you read my post? i said i don't give a **** about their musical prowess or lack thereof. to me they're good for banging your head to a good groove. i'm not gonna overthink it, sometimes music is just a gut feeling, if you don't want it, don't take it.
