Best Metal Vocalist right now

I'unno man, maybe I'm crazy but IMO, LaBrie is one of the most epic vocalists in metal. Even if it's prog metal.

Oh, I know music isn't about singing only. I myself am a guitarist, but yeah, I think since every voice is different, they've become fairly welcome in music over the years. Now if only instrument voicings could get the same recognition.

He's not bad, but I actually forgot to consider their drummer. He is actually a great singer, there are definitely better singers out there but the fact that he can project his voice during some of those crazy fills is actually pretty impressive(go listen to Desperate Times, Desperate Measures)

Board Manners 101 would translate this to: I believe you are all incorrect. it is my exclusive opinion that the gentleman who perfroms lead vocals for the band we know as "Brutality" is the most superior at his intended function. Are you all suffering from some form of mental retardation?

Metal vocalist?
hmm..

M. Shadows (A7X)
Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour)
Wednesday 13 (Murderdolls/Wednesday 13)
James Hetfield (Metallica)
Marilyn Manson

There are a ton of other good headbanging or groove banRAB out there that you can listen to while still preserving your dignity... But hey, I used to be big into the Transplants S/T (until I bitchslapped myself into reality).

Honestly I just find his voice annoying and I think it and his lyrics have locked them into an "Alt-Metal" path that has made them permanently the domain of techno-metal crossover Rammstein nerRAB with trenchcoats and acne. They have more potential than that. They're like the Muse of heavy.

Why? You think his voice is bad?

Yes, I really like him. But Mikael from Opeth is better, maybe the best metal voice for me :)

Really? I saw A7X live (Festival) and he sucked big time.
James Hetfield is alright, although he did make better music when he couldn't sing.
Marilyn Manson scares the **** out of me, his voice is nothing special though.

Corey Taylor is an excellent choice though, I don't like Slipknot but I saw Stone Sour an they were great.

No. Definitelly you aren't crazy ;) It's just your feeling and everybody has different feelings.
I realized lot of people here hate Dream Theater... But I know also lot of people who loves them maybe more than it's reasonable. So everything in music is just matter of taste and personality :)
