Best Emotional Scene

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - after Benjamin and Daisy get together, you have this feeling of "they can't be together" but you want them to be together so badly. And Benjamin leaving, and then coming back and she is older. And then him being a child and her taking care of him. It is absolutely heartbreaking. I can't even explain it - it's not sad, it's...I don't know.

One scene extremely emotional for me was the last scenes in "The Perfect Storm". When they're talking about what they're going to do when they go back home...

All the while you listen to the dialogue knowing they're going to die and you wonder if they're fooling themselves or just really believe they'll be ok.

Man, that's hard to watch. "The fish will gather again for the Andrea Gail" That's one of the hardest quote to listen to in any movie I've seen.

Has anyone ever heard of the Nostalgia Critic? He's hilarious but he did this video called the Top 11 Saddest Moments of Our Childhood... It's dead on! here is a link to it. Warning: There is some cursing involved in his commentary.

personally i liked the scene, where Bond is comforting his girl in the bathroom, they are sitting together on the floor and the water is running and also the music is so tender...

:spoiler:SPOILER WARNING FOR "MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS"

The scene in "Matrix Revolutions" where Trinity dies.

END OF SPOILER FOR "MATRIX: REVOLUTIONS"

-The end scene in Finding Neverland

-The funeral in Perfect Storm, as well as Linda's eulogy, and when Diane Lane's character (forgot her name!! ) breaks down in the restaurant.

-Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, when Bridget is remembering her mom finally, and when Tibby sees Bailey in the hospital, and starts to cry.

-Ladder 49- When Jack tells Mike to call all the crew in, and it's too late to save him

Hope Floats.... When Bernice wants to go with her daddy and he just leaves....she was so amazing...

Titanic - When the "My Heart Will Go On" Theme is playing and you see the mother tucking her kids into bed, because they are third class and can't make it up and when the older couple latches onto eachother when the water rushes underneath them and when the camera pans around and all you see is people screaming and yelling, it tears my heart up... and of course when Rose has to let go of Jack...

My Girl - When Vada walks up to Thomas J, at his funeral and just starts talking as if he has not passed and starts yelling to everyone about him and finally has her break-down... I just start bawling, Anna was terrific in that scene... and at the end, her powm makes me cry and when she has that flashback of Thomas asking if she would think of him...

AWTR- When Jaime and her dad are talking and he is explaining about never loving again after her mom died and how emotional he is and she just whispers I Love You So Much while he breaks down....

The Little Princess - The ending, when Sarah finaly meets with his father and the police arrives.
Little Women - When Beth sees the piano and her death.
Lost in the Translation - The goodbye scene breaks my heart.

Grave of the Fireflies - after I watched that film I could not eat because I still remember the two kids and how war affects so many lives.

The Return of the King - "My friends, you bow to no one..." And also the very last scene where Frodo is leaving and he smiles back at the Hobbitts because his agony is over.

I also agree with Steel Magnolias and Amadeus :( Oh yeah, and Selena, with "Dreaming of You" as the background music! It gave me goosebumps...

:spoiler: If you haven't seen Dances With Wolves :spoiler:

:spoiler: :spoiler: :spoiler: :spoiler: :spoiler: :spoiler: :spoiler:

The two scenes in all of movie history where I am guaranteed to always, always, always, collapse in a ball of uncontrollable tears are in this movie.

The first one is when they shoot Two Socks, and he just stays there because Dances With Wolves has formed a friendship with him and so he doesn't want to leave him alone. And he just stays there, being shot at, till he dies.

Then, at the end, when Dances With Wolves and Stands With a Fist are leaving and Wind in His Hair stands on that cliff and just yells, for the whole valley to hear "Dances With Wolves! Dances With Wolves! I am Wind in His Hair! Do you know that you are my friend? Do you know that you will always be my friend? Dances With Wolves!"

Gah. I'm just saying it and I've got chills running up and down my arms.

I think Sally Field's funeral scene in Steel Magnolias was emotional. And Bruce Willis' scene in the Sixth Sense when he realizes he's dead. And of course the ending of TLOR: Return of the King when Frodo and everyone "sail away" forever. I bawled!!

Oh I know and the scene when Willie got mad at Skip during the baseball game and came right over to him and hit him. I nearly cried my eyes out. Anything that has to do with animal abuse, I get teary eyed.

The scene in Across the Universe where the little boy is sitting against the car singing Let it Be and there are riots all around him. You can just feel that something is gonna happen to him and then when you see him in the casket...kills me everytime.

In Feast of Love when they're all at the soccer game and Oscar's heart gives out and they try to rush him to the hospital but there's so much traffic and no one will move so they have to watch as he dies. That scene was just heartbreaking.

Jessica Lange in Losing Isaiah. There are several incredibly tense and dramatic scenes, but the one in which she gets the notification about the adoption being challenged just breaks me. :bawl: I have to cry along with her every time.

I'd totally forgotten this movie!!!

The saddest scene was at the end when Skip died, I just had to walk away from the T.V.

OMG I cry just remembering that scene. The father's frustration reflected on his quiet tears. Gosh!
La Strada too is kind of depressing with Anthont Quinn's last scene... But what awfully good movies they are!
