Best Emotional Scene

In Philadelphia, when Andrew's friends went to the hospital, it was so sad seeing Andrew like that, and later at Andrew's funeral when they were watching some old videos of Andrew from when he was a little kid :bawl:

In North Country, when Josey is telling to Sammy how much she's sorry about not telling him the truth, although that scene didn't made me cry i think it was very emotional

ET - When he's leaving. :bawl:

Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - The scene when Theodred dies/his funeral. Theoden saying, "No parent should have to bury his child." So beautiful filmed and acted.

You've Got Mail always gets me. That "you're nothing but a suit" and "I wanted it to be you so badly." :bawl: Loveeeeeeee this movie.

Quills Oh that scene with Madelaine being hurt... Joaquin Phoenix and Geoffrey Rush wow. Gave me chills.

-Armageddon: with Bruce Willis saying goodbye to Liv Tyler after he decides to stay to blow that thing up. The movie wasn't that great .. but man, that scene always gets me ...

-Finding Neverland. Oh man, that little kid is amazing ... that last scene was so great yet it made me cry like a baby.

-The Notebook: the end scene always gets me ... maybe it's just more sentimental to me since I'm very close to my grandparents. But nonetheless, always gets to me.

-Man on Fire: the end too always gets me. Dakota Fanning and Denzel were so freaking awesome in this movie. To watch their relationship grow and then to see the end ...

 a lot of my moments are at the end of movies ...

I have a lot of them, but these are my faves:

Prince of Tides - Tom's breakdown in Lowenstein's arms after revealing the biggest secret of all, Callenwolde. I cry at that ... the acting was superb. Also love the dance at the end between Tom and Lowenstein.

You've Got Mail - The scene in the cafe where Kathleen tells off Joe Fox, insulting him ... the look of hurt on Joe's face when he decides to leave is heartbreaking. Then, at the very end, when Kathleen looks at Joe and, crying, says, "I wanted it to be you. I wanted it to be you so badly." *sigh*

V For Vendetta - V & Evey's dance, Evey kisses V on the lips of his mask :sigh:, and V dies in Evey's arms after finally confessing his love for her.

Anna & the King - Anna and the King dance at the end of the movie, both wishing that things could be different ... you can see they both want to kiss each other, but they hold back :(.

Schindler's List - Oskar and Itzhak Stern's friendship throughout the movie was very touching, but I sobbed at the end when Oskar is so overwhelmed that he sobs in Stern's arms, wishing he had saved even more Jews than he already had.

Scent of a Woman - Colonel Slade defends Charlie and, at the end of the movie, puts his hands on Charlie's face to "see" him.

Quills - The Marquis's desperate scream of Madelaine's name when he hears that she's being hurt ... and his grief after her death. Geoffrey Rush was superb in that movie.

The Notebook - Noah & Ally's dance at the end to the song, "I'll Be Seeing You" just after she's remembered him ... they speak of their children, their love and Ally asks him to tell the kids she loves them ... then suddenly, she's gone again into the blankness of her dementia. Duke/Noah tries to cling to her, but she screams and they take her away.

Castaway - At the end, when Chuck apologizes to her and says, "I never should have gotten on that plane." They kiss, passionately, and she is sorely tempted to leave with him ... but he drives her back because he knows that she has a new life that began while he was stuck on the island.

The Guardian - Ben and Jake's final scene gets me every time. "I won't let go ... I won't let go!" "I know." Then Ben lets go and falls, to his death, to save Jake. Jake screams at the pilot to get him back in the water, but he is told no, that they can't lose two swimmers. The chilling echo of the words "Lost Swimmer" makes me cry.

The Man in the Iron Mask - D'Artagnan's death.

Big Fish - the end scene

Playing By Heart - when Ryan tells Angelina about him getting HIV, and when they tell each other in her car that they love each other

another that always gets to me is in The Yards where Joaquin Phoenix accidenlty pushes Charlize Theron off the balcony and kills her...then when he realizes what hes done he locks him self in his car until the police comes for him :(....the music playing during that whole sequence is beautiful but haunting at the same time

Star Wars : Revenge of the Sith just because it was such a shame to see an amazing boy turn so bad, every scene broke my heart.

Pay it forward the end with the candles, I nearly cried.

Notebook I dont know why, all of this movie was emotional, no particular scene.

The Illusionist When Eisenheim is reaching for Sophie ghosts hand!

Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants , when Carmen is talking to her father about abandoning her family. I almost wanted to cry too.. such good acting by American Ferrera, and it felt so real.

Pay It Forward when he didn't make it, how Arlene and Eugene just break down but you don't hear anything but Trevor's voice of hope. They are watching news coverage of his death. And then they look outside and see all the people coming to pay their respects and show how they loved him. Showing how one person can make such a difference of good in the world.

In Milk after he is assassinated (which is really sad scene itself) Scott and Anne are wondering where everyone is at the memorial that is being held for Harvey. And then they go outside to see this huge candle light procession of thousands of people paying tribute to the loss of Harvey.

The Champ: Ricky Schroder desperately trying to wake up Jon Voight in the lockers while everybody remains silent

Armageddon: the scene between Harry (bruce) and Grace (Liv) at the NASA station. the one where harry said goodbye to Grace on the monitor screen and Grace's hand was on the screen....:bawl: the speech was emotional too

Definitely those and I would add The Mighty. The scene where Max doesn't believe that Kevin died. So he runs to the building that Kevin said he would be going to get a new body (or something like that, it's been a while since I've seen it). Then breaks down once he's inside and realizes Kevin made it up. :bawl:

I don't want to give too many details to spoil the fun of people. And if people saw them, they will probably know which scene..

I'm gonna repeat myself from the music thread, but definitely Pan's Labyrith end scene, Requiem for a dream, Schindler's list with the red touch on the black and white screen, Million Dollar Baby, Amores Perros, Babel, Boys don't cry,..

American History X - That whole movie has so many emotional scenes, but one that always gets to me is when Danny is shot and killed and Derek running to the bathroom and is holding him in his arms. Then Danny's essay is read out by Danny as the credits start to roll.

Also in Braveheart when William Wallace screams "FREEDOM".

 :(

Amen.

The scene in LOTR: TTT, when Sam is making his speech to Frodo at the end, about having to fight for the good left in Middle Earth... :bawl: That was so very touching!

The scene in A Walk to Remember when Landon goes to his father after he helps Jamie and he's crying and pulling on his shirt, telling him "thank you". :sigh: WOW.

The scene in The Notebook when older Noah and Allie are dancing after she remembers, and then she forgets again and she starts to struggle agaisnt him. Then Noah starts to cry! :(

The scene in 13 Going on 30 when Jenna goes back home, goes in the closet, and starts hitting the shelves with her back as she cries. The music that's playing and everything....*sniffles* It just made me all emotional!

The Reader sounds so sad! I've read the book, and it's sad, but I really want to see the movie. I heard it's really good - mostly positive reviews.
