Best Drummer

Oh and you do?

Its stupid to hate a band simply for their drummer and their fans and critics...Thats almost on par with hating a band because a band meraber is screwing a supermodel whos personality you dont care for.

I don't think so at all. Maybe for being such a great drummer, but his guitar style is pretty mediocre for a lead guitarist. What would be great if he actually relegated someone else to vocal duties and expanded his songwriting ability. He's such a multitalented individual, and he's played drums on some of the best modern rock albums. I really respect the guy, and he carries a lot of emotion up on stage. It's a damn shame that he hasn't realized that he's bollocks as a vocalist.

Are you for cereal? The best drummer of all time? In a pop-punk band? In Blink-182? I wasn't even aware they had a drummer. One that mattered, anyways.

There are so many acceptable alternatives to the five guys posted there. Travis Barker is NOT one of them.

Well double guitars are just for show.

But different kinRAB of snares, toms, cyrabals, hi-hats and bass drums can add a lot of variety to the sound, and if you got it, flaunt it, Peart can mantain a huge drumset, and he makes great use of it.

I said this before, and I say it again, it doesn't aways have to be about minimalism, oftentimes minimalism is f*cking overrated.

Best drummers ever!

1. Stewart Copleland
2. Buddy Rich
3. Rob Affuso
4. Blias Elias
5. Alex Van Halen
6. Rod Morgenstein
7. Phil Rudd
8. Tommy Lee
9. Sean Kenney
10. Chad Smith

All of those guys are great drummers but Lars Ulrich was the best in his era. And now I think that Joey Jordinson is one of the greatest.

True, but skill is a factor in being the best, its different than being the greatest.

For example, there are many better drummers than Moon, but probably none greater.

I dont think putting on a good show is part of being the best, its a merely subjective thing, being the best at anything is something i always like to objectify, and i think putting on a great show dosent make you the best, plus being very charasmatic live dosent really factor in the music...Thats just me though, but i think theres a difference between musicians and performers, some people can be good performers but sh*tty musicians (even as someone who likes Motley Crue, you should know where im going here ;)) and some can be good musicians but bad performers, many of these virtuoso type guitarists are on stage just standing there, either faking their facial expressions (very unconvincingly) or make none at all.

Im not slagging Moon, who probably is my favorite Drummer (either him or Bonham or Grohl) its just that in technical terms, there are many who rise above him in the ability level.
