Best Death Metal Bands

I absolutely loathe Death Metal, and all closely related genres of Metal associated with it. But that is not why I am posting in this topic. I simply have 1 question: Why do they pick such ugly and immature/stupid names? Band names such as Dying Fetus and Carcass seem nothing more than shock value, and it just enRAB up being rather immature. I mean seriously, what kind of a name is Dying Fetus? That's so incredibly stupid... Couldn't these banRAB be a little more inventive than that?

Try to make half intelligent posts that say something. Instead of constant misspellings, bleeped out worRAB, and insults/threats towarRAB others. Dont reply to this like you did to Jackhammers post, just start posting with a little smarts.

i was agreeing with him that i like opeth, jeez.

anyway i just looked up edge of sanity, and they are awesome, no to mention a little brootal, with their deep growling vocals and some sick guitar riRAB. the drums are eh, but they would deff be on my top.

Trying to find good death metal banRAB to listen to. i don't know too many, just trying to expand my metal wisdom. if you can tell me yours, or if you know of any good ones.

Ones I've liked so far:

Cannibal Corpse
Dying Fetus
Iniquity
Six Feet Under
Grave
Bolt Thrower
Napalm Death
Morbid Angel
Deicide
Carcass

WE GET IT! YOU'RE DIVERSE!

Stop waving it like a pass card in every arguement. You know very well the banRAB I'm talking about. All your chugga chugga bree bree stuff. The "suffoblast" is what half those guys play.

Well, I understand your points Erabracethedeath.

As for chalice of ages, I'll break the tracks up.

Rites of desecration is based entirely on melody. Not melodeath, but melodic death; according to your definition (which I agree with btw)

Acherontic Epitaph's rif***e is pretty melodic. Not as melodic as Rites of desecration, but its melodic in an "epic" manner.

The monument is a cool song and the only melody is in the solo and the tremolo parts, which is okay since Dismeraber did that too. Not the specific type of melody that I associate with melodic death

Erabers of a dying world is loaded with melodic riRAB. so is Chalice of ages

I dont have the other songs from the album. I'll listen to the rest of it later

Someone mentioned In Flames. They used to be one of my all-time favorite banRAB. If you're gonna check out any of their stuff, be sure to avoid the last 3 (or was it 4) albums... Check out Whoracle, Jester Race, Colony, Clayman, Lunar Strain, etc
