Best Bluray Movies

'Pans Labyrinth' is the best Blu Ray i've seen so far, the crystal clear quality is breathtaking.

For sound quality i'd have to say 'Gladiator', you can hear each individual arrow fly overhead. Stunning.

I got it on HD DVD so I guess the Bluray version will be just as good. The PQ is 5 stars without a doubt!

every scene is is sharp, vibrant and so crisp. Honestly it is demo material and one of the best transfers you will see.

I don't own many Blu-Ray discs, but Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace come up trumps, they're fantastic quality. Same goes for Mamma Mia (awful film, came free with the Player when I bought it) and oddly enough the Life Of Brian comes up brilliantly on Blu-ray.

I've got Batman (1988) and The Nightmare before Xmas, both look okay, but not brilliantly in HD.

Planet Earth (even though it's TV) is stunning on Blu-ray, even for the BBC HD ident.

Ignore all that. It looked fine when i watched it. It's not the best example of picture quality on Blu Ray, but it definitely isn't THAT bad that it takes away from the movie, it's a definite step up from the DVD. In terms of sound quality though, i defy you to find one better.

Surprised that we've got over 40 posts and no one's mentioned either Zulu or The (Original) Italian Job - Both are absolutely stunning PQ.

Got Watchmen to watch, and will most likely get Planet of the Apes at some point too. Watched it on upscaled DVD last year and that was a superb PQ so I can't wait to see what BR's done for it!

im sure it is a step up, and on a big 42 inch fr9m a distance away im sure it will look fine, but i still think ill hold out in case they do a terminator 2 and release a better transfer a couple years later :D i might rent it just to see how it looks.

My dad got Zulu at christmas, and he says it is stunningly impressive.

I recently got Chidlren of men - not a lovely colourful movie, but the transfer was brilliant - VERY sharp and clear but with enough grain to give it a very earthy, genuinely gritty look.

I have 55 blu rays and watched over 100 on blu ray, the best one i have seen so far is got to be the dark knight when i first watched this it was just wow :D

Something great to watch on blu ray is planet earth this is nice to sit down and watch the picture is great on this boxset.

I wwill write down in word pad what i have and copy htem into this thread when i have abit of time :)

I was actually quite surprised by the PQ on Terminator Salvation. It's not the most colourful film, but the picture quality is excellent.

I also watched Inglorious BasterRAB the other day, and that looks amazing in parts. In bright outdoor shots it doesn't drop below 35mbps

I had no idea 80s cult classic Mad Max 2 was out on BD. All the reviews give it the thumbs up in terms of picture quality. At just under
