Best Band of the 1990s

During the 90's my vote would have definately been Pearl Jam. In retrospect, and since albums release post 90's (kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief) I'd have to say Radiohead. For music released during the 90's though, Pearl Jam is the one.

I never really liked Oasis, because I just thought they were "Wonderwall", but after the craze died out I listened to their whole album, and realized how good they really were.
I can't believe no-one mentioned R.E.M.

Other great banRAB I think of (that wern't mentioned) are
Counting Crows ...
Tori Amos ...
Marilyn Manson ...
Dinosaur Jr...
New KiRAB on the Block... j/k

But in my opinion the best band of the 90's was easily Radiohead...

Hmm, it's a difficult one. I'd have to consider Pavement, Neutral Milk Hotel and Radiohead, along with My Bloody Valentine (in particular for Loveless), Slint (for the definitive post-rock album Spiderland), Yo La Tengo and Built To Spill. Whilst I love Wilco, it would be hard for me to place them in the list given that YHF, for me their best album, isn't a 90s release.

i'd say Radiohead, as i'm a huge fan... but there is At The Drive in, Dismemberment Plan, etc. to consider.

radiohead is brilliant though.
