Best and worst James Bond?

Hardly justifies the claim that he's been "feminised" though does it?

Personally I think it's pretty clear that there is a supervillain in the reboot, just one we haven't seen yet but get closer to with each installment.
 
1) Connery (Easily the best. He IS Bond).
2) Craig (Excellent in both of the films he's done, even if he is a bit Bourne-esque, but when Bourne was kicking the crap out of Bond what's wrong with copying him a little? It worked tremendously imo).
3) Brosnan (Admittedly, his films weren't particularly good after GoldenEye, but he was still a pretty good Bond, it's not his fault that the scriptwriters decided to make his later films into gadget laden, sci-fi messes).
4) Moore (Not really a fan of his films to be honest, far too cheesy).
5) Dalton (Just couldn't warm to him, seemed quite wooden too. 'License to Kill' was a good film though).
6) Lazenby (If i'm honest i can't really remember much about OHMSS, i've only watched it once, and that was years ago. I recently bought the complete Bond collection on DVD for 50 quid, so who knows, i might warm to him when i get to it and re-watch it).
 
Best: Dalton or Moore = Dalton had a dangerous air about him and I just love Roger Moore. :D

Worst: Brosnan = Slime ball.


I'll need several more years before I can come to a proper conclusion about Daniel Craig.
 
In order

Connery - Totally nailed it.
Craig - perfect modern take
Dalton - seriously underrated
Brosnan - suffered a bit with the uncertain direction of his film.
Lazenby - not an actor
Moore - not a bad character, but apart from a couple of films LALD, FYEO) was not Bond in any way shape or form and was a complete spoof of the character (he admits he couldn't take the role seriously)
 
Its a difficult one, because each actor did it at a different time, when there were different expectations of the films.

It's so easy to say Connery nailed it, but his mysognitic Cold War Bond just wouldn't work now. For me Connery is simple the FIRST, not the best.

Roger Moore
Sean Connery
Timothy Dalton
George Lazenby (last but in my favourite Bond film of all time).
 
Favourite Bond, without a shadow of a doubt, is Timothy Dalton. After the OTT Moore years he brought the series back down to Earth and returned the character to the original Ian Fleming roots. He had the ruthless cunning needed and looked like he could throw a punch and not worry about killing.

It annoys me when people assume Dalton is the worst, purely because his film's are the least well known. They both rank very highly on my list with LTK being one of my favourite BonRAB.
 
I seem to remember that The Living Daylights was quite a big hit when first released. It was LTK that didnt seem to go down well. Personally i really like it but I know a lot of people who didnt like it. Maybe beacuse of the six year gap that followed some people believed it killed the franchise for a few years where as Bond fans know that it was to do with legal issues.
