Best and worst James Bond?

I don't know or care. But the film itself is such an essential classic, that anyone not knowing about it (and subsequently Lazenby) can't really call themselves a Bond fan. Just a passing interest, more like.

Totally agree on all that, although I don't think Dalton was horrible. Just not up to par with his predecessors. Craig is utter shite, though.

Sorry to be personal, but are you female?

The latest Bond has been feminised in order to pitch it at a different market.

No longer is it a thrashing good boys own tale :(

Roger Moore was the best, in my opinion. Had the performance pitched exactly right.

Haven't really got a worst Bond as such, but generally speaking, I think Connery is a knob.

Brosnan is definitely the worst 'Thomas the Tank Engine' narrator.

(And if we're having a 'best film' vote, I'd like to make an early submission for Live & Let Die.)

That's my point entirely.

It's all about his personal traits rather than a mad meglomaniac that wants to ransom the world.

I couldn't care less what Bond 'feels' I just want to see him use a fancy gadget to blow something up.

Best: Roger Moore
Worst: Mr Blobby (will be next James Bond but one)

Typical line will be:

Evil Villain: So Mr Bond we meet again!
Bond: Blobby Blobby Blobby!!!!!!!!

I'm not saying you have to be a die hard fan to vote! I just asked if Lazenby was not really an actor what was he? Just looked it up and he was a very famous model originally.

Best: Connery/Dalton - Connery as he created the role and his early films were ace; in my heart though Dalton beats him as the most Flemingesque Bond.

Worst: Pierce Brosnan - far too smarmy with bouffant hair, at least Roger Moore had the excuse that it was the 70s. All his films apart from Goldeneye were sh*te too.

He was a model from Australia.

Connery-Original and best
Craig-Don't normally like re-boots (Trek, Batman), but this one worked.
Brosnan-Dark and angry, but with pathos
Lazenby-Ably executed, with enough charm
Moore-Too commercially centred
Dalton-Couldn't quite capture the mood.

The OP wasn't asking who was Lazenby - we all know he played Bond. He/she was responding to the post when someone said Lazenby wasn't an actor.... OP asked "what was Lazenby?" as in meaning (I assume) 'what was his profession?'....

Best: Sean Connery (For me THE epitome of Bond),
Timothy Dalton (I dont think Tim gets the credit he deserves, his portrayal of Bond as a serious and slightly darker character gave me shivers!)

Worst:
George Lazenby (Really dry performance, didn't strike any chorRAB at all)

Connery
Craig
Dalton
Lazenby
Brosnon
Moore

As for Bond being "feminised", that seems utterly bizarre to me. He's a cold hearted assassin fgs.
