Best amp: Kicker zx1000.1 or Hifonics BXI 1610 D for a 15" Kicker L7? Help Please...?

which is the best amp as far as money and performance between Kicker zx1000.1 or Hifonics BXI 1610 D for a 15" Kicker L7. Is it worth it to save the money on the Hifonics or should i make the HUGE sacrifice and get the Kicker amp? Also, should I run at 1000 watt since the L7 has 1k rms or should I overpower the sub, I really want to avoid both, the amp overheating or the speaker blowing up. Help please!!
