1) IP-Relay and i711 Relay are not offered on the BB (the BB has to be connected to a TTY to use relay services). With the SK, you can download the application from the catalog (free) and type to a relay operator just like you are instant messaging someone. That relay operator voices what you type, to the hearing person, and then types back to the Deaf/HOH person what the hearing person on the other end of the phone is saying.
2) I am not working yet. I was asking this because I am thinking of going thru vocational rehabilitation to purchase the SK3 for college/work since they fund wireless devices for people with disabilities. If they don't fund it, I will have to foot the bill to purchase the SK3 on my own.
I have a Get More Plan right now but I don't want to add that to the line and have a bill I can't afford. My only other option, if I wanted data on both devices, is to port the BB to Cingular and then switch my T-Mo BB plan to the SK plan once I get the SK.
