Baz. He is truly a genius! He's funny, charming, inspirational, smart, crafty, everything! He was great on "The View", when he and Nicole were promoting Moulin Rouge. MR, SB, and R+J are all simply BRILLIANT and totally awesome. I have MR on DVD and R+J from TV, but I need to get SB. It's hilarious!

My friend Tay saw "La Boheme" and she loved it, she thought it was great. She said it's very similar to Moulin Rouge, which it would be, I'd imagine.

I love his CD mix, too, the "Something for Everybody". "Happy Feet" is my favorite song!

I can't wait for what he throws at us next!

Attention Strictly Ballroom fans ... I saw Finding Nemo tonight and one of the voices sounded very familiar. As it turns out, it was Bill Hunter who was Barry Fife, the Federation President.

I knew I knew that voice!

Thanks.

I was watching MR today, and I had to stop it right after the tango, because I was going to meet my friends. I was just thinking, damn Christian has bad timing. He should have gone to Paris in 1898...then he could've had a year with the woman of his dreams before she died. Sheesh.

Well, he is planning to make it still but he is going to talk La Boheme on an American tour in the summer.

Ah man, I still need to watch it.

I sort of forgot about it and now, with recent and upcoming releases, I don't know when I'll get around to it.

Gah! I need to make time for it!

Congratulations!

I was just browsing through Amazon and found this ...

I'm so tempted to buy it. I almost bought it the last couple of times I went to Best Buy.

Look what else Amazon has ...

That's a DVD of Puccini - La Boheme / Baz Luhrmann, The Australian Opera (2002 Edition) (1994).

Anybody know if La Boheme is still running on Broadway?

I can't wait till they start production on "Alexander the Great" ... and I hope it gets made, even with the Oliver Stone film being made at the same time.

I wish I could see Baz's version of "La Boheme" in person. But the chances of that are quite slim.
