That's so werid my English teacher calls it that to, we're reading Romeo + Juliet, I asked her "you mean the Baz Lurhmann version", she said "who's Baz Lurhmann".
R+J can grow on some people. I've always liked it, but the more I watch it, the more it "works" for me. Baz definitely has a unique way to tell a story.
People Gotta love us though. My mom watched Strictly Ballroom and loved it. She has watched it 3 times in the last 2 days
She told me "Now I know how it is for you to love Moulin Rouge so much.' Then she decided she'd give Moulin Rouge another try, and watched it with me. She loves Ewan even more now
It's kind of funny, because my English teacher was telling us about Romeo + Juliet (Baz's version, of course) and he kept on calling it "The version with Leonardo Dicaprio." and I kept on telling him that, even though Leo starred in it, he was not the one that made it. So I insisted on calling it Baz's version
And Moulin Rouge? Oh my gosh! How brilliant was that movie?! He's just a very awesome director, and I can't wait to see his upcoming flicks
