Baz Luhrmann Appreciation

Same here. My mom bought Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge for Christmas, which is great, but what do I do now?

I just watched 'Strictly Ballroom' on HBO or something like that and, of course, love it!

Well with the Red Curtain Trilogy there's an extra DVD of nothing but extras. I still haven't made time to watch it

Just wanted to say that I too am a huge fan of Baz Luhrmann (obviously, or I wouldn't be here!). R+J is my favourite, I think it's amazing - the scenery, music locations, the way it was filmed, everything really. Bax Luhrmann is just so inventive and original when it comes to film-making.
Re the red curtain trilogy: I have the films separately on DVD and I was just wondering are the extras in the boxset different to those on the indivdual DVDs?

I'm coming to LA soon and they way it does will determin how far in the US it will go, I'm praying that it comes to Chicago, I really want to see it.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the Red Curtain Trilogy yet, but it's the reason I didn't buy Moulin Rouge sooner! It's just that I spent all my money on buying Animes. :sob:

But my birthday is comign up in less than two weeks and that is at the top of my list!
 
Hmm, I never thought of that. Think how differnt everything would be, him and Satine might of even left, got married and hade a kid by the time she died.

Baz is the best. Last year, at a college interview, I talked about Baz for like 5 minutes or more. Maybe it wasn't the best move since I ended up not getting accepted, but I couldn't help myself.
