That is a bit special - I agree about Jim Carrey (who I only like in straight roles) & Jack Nicholson who only ever seems to play Jack Nicholson these days!
So Phillip Seymour Hoffman won't be the penguin! Yippee, I'd much prefer Bob Hoskins over him.
Interesting how he avoided the Ryan Phillippe one...must be him!
"Batman Begins" was not the best choice in titles for the first film. "The Batman" Would have been better.
Same as the line from the first X-Men Film... Storm. What happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning? "The same thing that happens to everything else".............. What was that?"
If this is the case that a lot of stuff is missing to cater for the non-hardcore Bat fan then I guess it won't be too long before we see a Directors Cut DVD although I bet there'll be no mention of one until 3 months after the proper TDK DVD release so we all buy two versions.
Made me feel most queasy! And I was confused by the constant repeating of scenes they'd just shown. Is that because my attention span is longer than that of a goldfish?
Actors Christopher Nolan, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman talk about Heath Ledger's performance in the new Batman film and of posthumous oscar. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7507900.stm
This film is not just about Heath , even tho hearing all the press/reviews it may as well be. Everybody had a part to play and that seems to have been forgotten. Its not like Heath is even the lead role.
Well at a press conference this week before the premiere a warner bros agent was asked about the DVD and he made no mistake on the fact that the DVD will not contain any deleted scenes. He says Chris has filmed everything he wants and that whats in the film is what he wants shown. With Batman Begins there was no disccusions of stuff like this. This time there are many onset reports and many people working as extras who are more than happy to speak about their experiences.
Remember Chris Nolan is a huge Blade Runner fan.Even the scene of Batman running on top of the cars can be compared to a similar scene in Blade Runner........that film was a huge hit. And not until the last few years have all those deleted scenes came to light. All that were before it was a workprint and an alternate version. It could end up being 20 years before we see any kind of outtakes or deleted materials. Then again im not sure if Chris has that much control over his films or wether Warner Bros can override him and release the stuff on their own to make more money. The film has already broken all Imax recorRAB in America by taking in over $3million in pre bookings.Imax cinemas opening at 6am to accomodate it.Some plan on opening 24 hours to keep up with the demand.
Well thats the thing.A lot of sites arent allowing any bookings past the 23rd so no one really knows if its true about the release date being brought forward.Only one cinema site up here is......and its for the 30th.Surely all the showings wouldnt be sold up until then. Then again its only The Dark Knight thats listed.Surely theyd have all the other films listed too.
