That's basically how I felt. Bale owned the movie and Katie was a joke. And the no chemistry just bothered me ... she was useless.

I agree with someone else ... I thought Two-Face killed his parents. That bothered me, but they made up for it with the ending alluding to the Joker. ;)

I just saw the 2 official pictures of the batmoble at the official site and my god the fake ones look so much better than the real thing. I'm starting to think this movie is gonna be a piece of crap.

Just because there's allot of stars in it doesn't mean it's gonna be good... All hope that I had for this movie is falling.

I saw the movie and it was the first Batman movie I liked since the original one with Michael Keaton. I would have to say that Keaton is still the best batman, but Bale is a close second. I just hope when they make the next movies, they will keep the same cast (Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Bale, etc. )so that they don't suck like Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

What did you expect from Rutger? I didn't even recognize him until I saw the credits. All he had to do was be the exec that wanted to turn the company in a different direction. There wasn't much there, but there didn't need to be, he was just another opponent.
Wantabe is a good actor and I was sad to see him underused as he was in this movie. Although, his very character was simply a coverup SPOILER so I don't think much could have been expected.
I actually think that Morgan Freeman's character was developed nicely. A nice scientist who was secluded that befriends Wayne and gives him some technology.

Bella, Micheal Keaton was good, but Christian Bale took the cake. Looking back on them now, the previous Batman movies were horrible. The direction they went with in the new one is much better and realistic. It's simply a great film with a brilliant leading actor doing the character justice.

And I'm so excited for the sequel. I heard a rumor that Sean Penn is playing Joker. Any one else heard about that?

I can't wait for this movie to come out. I have been a fan of the Batman films since I little (with the expection of Batman & Robin).

I just saw the movie today. I gave it about a 8 out of 10.

It was really GREAT movie.

BUT
the first 1/2 hour felt LONG. AND the thing that bugged me thoughout the whole movie was that i HATE it when people make a movie and dont WATCH the others movies before it. If they did they would have remember that in Batman Forever. Bruce said that twoface killed his family. That always gets me

But all and all a Great movie with GREAT action LOVED Bale as Batman GOOD casting in all.

Now that the suit isn't a 200 pound leather outfit maybe Batman can actually FIGHT! Not just lifting his leg up a little a throwing punches like someone who's had a few to drink.

ITA, girls can be comic book geeks too. :D

Most of the reviews I read have been positive, which only makes me more excited to see it!

I saw it earlier today and I loved it! It was way better then the cartoonish last one.

My only complaint (which doesn't have anything to with the movie) is that I had to see it at my crappie (2 screen) hometown theater instead of a Regal or a Century (If I was back at school). The sound and the picture was nothing like it should have been.

I saw this movie last week, and I liked it! Christian Bale was amazing, as per usual, he *was* the movie. Great acting, and no doubt awesome dedication went into the role. I loved the training scenes. Liam Neeson was great, too, his character was so intense!

Loved Cillian Murphy - agree with you guys, he was freaky! Katie Holmes' part was so unnecessary, I was just like WTF. But whatever. She didn't have a lot of chemistry with Christian, IMO.

What a great cast! Christian Bale? Michael Caine? Morgan Freeman? Katie Holmes? Liam Neeson? Ken Watanabe? CILLIAN MURPHY?!

WOW! :D

I really really hope that Christopher Nolan doesn't make this a disappointment and I have a feeling that he won't. :)

I just got around to seeing it. ;)

Jason's Lover4life-I'd pay to see it again too! Yeah, Michael Keaton is kinda weird to think that he was like the first Batman or whatever.

Huge magazine scans from UK/AUS.

Superman vs. Batman: A fanboys wet dream
Aintitcool ran a fan report of a meeting with Christian Bale, who plays Batman in the new Batman Begins. Bale said that he's going to be doing two more Batman movies and then "Brandon Routh, the new Superman, and I, are doing Batman vs. Superman as a movie". The online media has picked up the story and is running it as fact. But the truth is, that this is nothing new.
It was widely reported that when Brandon Routh signed on as Superman, he signed a three picture deal - or, at least, an option for two more films - which may include a Superman vs. Batman film. So it's not really hard to believe that Bale signed a similar deal.
Of course, there is no official confirmation as of yet on Bale's deal. Check the daily Geek Report for further updates.

Yeah, the only difference being Toby/Kirsten had chemistry ... Christian/Katie didn't have any. It was like a joke.

Batman and Robin was a terrible movie. THey are lucky it wasn't destroyed completely by that piece. on another note, I was reading the title of the thread when I came in: The "scarecrow" was a huge pussy. He got shot in the face by a stun gun. While hilarious (some people in the theatre started clapping for Katie Holmes) this was hardly a good way to go out for an evil "super villian"
