Batman 3. What would you like to see?

We have to think about this all realistically. Meeaning NO MR FREEZE, KILLER CROC AND POISON IVY.

It's a shame that Nolan has said that Two Face is definitely dead. Would've been good to carry him into the third film.

As much as the hype is, I really don't know if I like the idea of The Riddler being in this film. It could work if it was set-up in a kinda Saw sense...testing people with his riddles and taking their lives. Getting rid of that bright green suit covered in question marks is a must as well. You could have him covered in tattoos (that would look hardcore) or even a more subtle approach to his green suit (they changed Jokers costume and it looked GREAT). I guess I also wouldn't mind the Penguin..JUST DON'T MAKE HIM LOOK LIKE A BLOOMIN PENGUIN. (Danny Devito)

Personally, I would absolutely love to see HARLEY QUINN in the third film. It would be a perfect setup because Joker has just been sent to Arkham. "MR J!" Only problem, you may need some shots of the Joker to do this...oh...(if we are gonna replace Heath, get a lookalike who can act...i.e. NO matthew mcconahoweveryouspell it or Ryan ReynolRAB please)

P.S, NO MEGAN FOX/ANGELINA JOLIE AS CATWOMAN PLEASE.
Catwoman has officially died in my eyes since that AWFUL film...

So your balaming post production on the fact Bale couldn't deliver his lines without aided technology?

And what about his inability to potray Bruce Wayne as the character he is meant to be. I always thought Batman was about these interesting characters, but it seems the only interesting characters are the villains

I think Bales biggest flaw is he can't play a single character you would like or sympathize with, even Heath Ledger as the villain Joker is more likeable than Bruce Wayne acted by Bale lol

No I'm saying it was a deliberate choice made by the director regardless of how Bale read the lines. It was done specifically to make a larger difference between Bruce Wayne and Batman and to give Batman a more fearful voice (the majority of people agree the latter didn't really work)

"How he's meant to be" Is a highly subjective term. In the comic books there different interpretations to how Bruce Wayne is played. You may not like the way Bale played it, and I'd never argue with your right to dislike it. But there is a difference between something you don't like and something that is objectively rubbish.

Again your entitled to like Bale or not, but once again your also trying to post opinion as fact.

I've seen Bale in a couple of films now and haven't liked him in them. He never seems to add much, if any emotion to his parts- hence why he's probabaly considered to be good in films like American Psycho and Equilibrium, where lack of emotion is required. In this sense, he's only one step above Keanu Reeves in my opinion :D

I'd disagree that he's starred in 'a' dud, I think he's been in a few duRAB, and in my opinion, is often the worst thing about them. T.D.K would have actually been a much better film with a better lead actor, even if the writing is messy- it still did some things very well.

And I don't know how you managed to watch T.D.K and not notice Ledger as the joker?- even if you didn't understand the hype, it's pretty obvious he steals all the scenes from Bale.

I'd still maintain that he was a better and more varied actor than Bale. Bale is the same in everything. Ledger was excellent in a serious role in 'Candy', could play a light hearted character in family films, like A Knights Tale and played the bad guy perfectly in T.D.K.

Harley Quinn would make a much better villan and love interest than Catwoman, but you cant do Harley without the joker so kind of rules that one out :(

Story wise Batman is getting the blame for the whole twoface mess so big super villan wouldnt make sense need someone who looks to be good but turns out bad.

Hush would be a great choice, Thomas Elliot doesnt like Bruce and Hush would be after Batman, he finRAB out the two are the same person and its enough to push him that little bit too far. Throw in The Riddler and you have a good combination of bad guys that are linked in the comics

Would need a love interest though and that doesnt leave a lot of options, Selina Kyle probably though no catwoman till right at the end leading on to the 4th

I see there is no Batman 3 thread on here or i just haven't looked properly. But i would like to see would you would like to have in the inevitable Dark Knight sequel. Maybe the opening scene, last scene, villains, who lives and who dies. I would personally like Michael C Hall to play the Riddler or Tim Roth to play a villain i think that would be cool.

What would you like to see.

I'd like to see a villain that hasn't been tackled much in the films. I don't read the comics so i couldn't name any but surely that would be better than another attempt at Catwoman (hopefully that Megan Fox rumour will NEVER come to anything) or gob forbid Robin!!!

As long as Christian Bale and Gary Oldman are in it...i'll watch it!!

Sorry for going off topic here, but I would love to see a Batman movie set in 1920's, based on the comic when it had first come out. The clothes, the transport, everything.

Not really off topic seeing as the thread is about what you would to see.

The funny thing is, is that everyone is saying Christian Bale is a rubbish actor and apparently he does lots of research seeing how the character he is about to play be should be played. So basically he must of read the comics. HAHA:)

:eek::eek::eek::eek: WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE DIRECTOR Christopher Nolan is an amazing director Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Memento, Insomnia are all brilliant films and the story are meant to be believable.

Poison Ivy as an Eco-terrorist is a fantastic idea.
I would like to see The Riddler introduced in the way he has been used in the comics recently, as a private consultant for hire, that isn't necessarily a bad guy, but can aid Bruce, before ultimately turning on him.

Giving Zsaz a larger role, and recasting him would be smart too. I suppose I'd just like my next Batman movie to be more like Se7en :D :D

And please remember, when it comes to Bale, he's the least worrysome casting. Batman has never been about him, its about whats happening around him.

I'd like Harley Quinn to be introuced. Kristen Bell would be perfect for the part but there are quite a few other actresses who could probably fill the role nicely with a good script and a director who understanRAB the character. Harley's a very complex personality and should be a challenge for any writer, actress and director. If handled properly, this character would be a real hit with cinema audiences.

Even if the Joker doesn't appear on screen they could still use Harley and her story. The Batworld that Nolan has created could lend to a very, very interesting take on an already fascinating character. I would love to see what could be done.

This is the only thing I want to see in the next film. If Kristen's in it, everything else would be a footnote. She'd be perfect.

I do think they should recast The Joker, but I really don't know who could take over.

I only meant in a sense that people may not appreciate somebody else just waltzing into the role (and I really couldn't cope with one of those two just taking over). I'd quite happily not have Joker make an appearance...So just to keep in tone with TDK, you'll probably need someone who can take on the same kind of character. Looking like Heath is just a thing that most people will want. There'd be no sense in returning to Jacks Joker considering what took place in TDK.

i think you could have Harley Quinn in it

There could be the main villain that Batman battles throughout the film while her character is established and she could be used as a love intrest before betraying Batman in the final third of the film becoming Harley Quinn

Throughout the film you could have Bruce meeting her at Arkham and give little hints of an obsession with the Joker who is locked up in Arkham who is in her care (you could use the sound of Ledgers laughter to emphasise this and the lack of sight of the Joker could be put down to Batman feeling guilty over the death of Harvey Dent)

oh and bring back Wayne Manor and the Batcave!

I understand what you mean but you cant have a crazy joker like heaths and then have some serious person who has a large smile in the same franchise. I think you can try and make Mark Hamill look like Heaths he has the crazy voice and laugh that is just as crazy as Heaths.

Catwoman and The Riddler are the most obvious choices and I think they could be done well. And I agree Harley Quinn would need the Joker to work.

There were enough names suggested for the Joker before Ledger was cast. People like Chrisotpher Eccleston and Crisip Glover were name-dropped by hopeful fans of the character frequently. I don't know if Glover has the acting chops required for such a meaty role but it could be interesting.

I think it would be cool to have Selina Kyle without her Catwoman alter-ego. But if Catwoman does appear it absolutely has to be Selina Kyle, not some other woman.
