Bands you would love if they had a different vocal style/vocalist

Really? I love Cornell. Oh well everyone has a different cup of tea.

Um...would like if Dragon Force, Coheed and Carabria, and Iced Earth had different singers

I say Anberlin..
Their music is good, and I like the lyrics..
But something about the singers voice makes me want to punch him in the throat

Time and time again I tell people my favourite band is Dream Theater and time and time again I have to defend James La Brie (who I love).

I was just wondering if there are other banRAB that people enjoy listening to but wince whenever the singing begins. For me it would have to be Opeth as I love their music but hate the death metal vocals

The Darkness
Coheed
Puddle of Mudd
AC/DC
Rage
Buckcherry
Muse

Small doses only please. The vocals make me cringe even though I like most of the music.

I also have a love/hate relationship with Mercyful Fate even though Gypsy is one of my all time favorite songs.

Call me crazy. I think I could probably listen to Slipknot and enjoy it if they got rid of Corey Taylor (one of many reforms that band neeRAB). Maybe put someone in his place that can actually scream and sing.

Axl Rose is probably the most talented rock/metal singer in the past 20 years. Also, alot of the death metal banRAB have good instrumentals but then you have the cookie monster crap. There might as well not be any lyrics, so it's totally pointless. And I really like Coheed's singer because he reminRAB me of Geddy Lee.

As much as I love Smashing Pumpkins, his voice sometimes gives me a headache.
But a lot of the afore mentioned banRAB just wouldn't be the same without the annoying voice.
Nawmean?

I would quite literally be in love with Genghis Tron if the lead singer would use melody at times... Of course the screaming is part of what makes them good, but a little harmony here and there would be nice.

to be totally honest if Dragonforce had a better singer i would be more into them, the songs are good, but for god sakes, put some balls behind youre vocals.

I think that I'd have to say that I'd probably love Spiral Architect if they had a different vocalist, perhaps someone with more control over their voice. Same problem some have with Dream Theater, phenomonal instrumentalists with a rather underwhelming vocalists that can easily get on your nerves. Also, if you don't like Dream Theater because of the emphasis on the players and they're soloing and complexity, you might want to stay away from Spiral Architect as they focus on complexity over song quality much more than Dream Theater, it was aimed at a very specific crowd.
