Bad odor!

I'm 22 and i have just recently started to have bad armpit odor, and i cant stand it! It's a real chemically smell, almost soap like - but not pleasant! When i shower i scrub my pits and about 3mins later when i get out of the shower the smell is even worse? same happens when i spray deodorant on! I hate this so much and i don't know why its happening or how to cure it?

please help!
 
Well, I don't have a picture of my deodorant..lol - sorry - but it's made by Mennen and if you put mennen deodorant in your search engine you can get a picture ( I hope I'm allowed to put these name brands on here??).

The one for men is called mennen speed stick.

I have no idea why this happens, the same thing happened to me - I was using the same deodorant for like 15 years with no problems. Maybe the company changed the formulas? I used to use one made by Proctor & Gamble.

anyhow, 2nd day of no deodrant - still sweating but the smell isnt near as bad

still only in one arm at a time which differs!

Can it come with being run down or ill?
 
I lean on it being something new in your diet. See if you can pinpoint when the smell started, and what changed in your diet simultaneously. Eliminate the food or drink and see what happens. This could also apply to new supplements.
 
trying the no deodorant approach - first day, it's still smelling abit but maybe not as bad

we recently moved house and the water here is disgusting - would this have an effect?
 
The soap is slightly working - im not as paranoid about it either so it doesnt seem as bad - but how long should it take to rid the smell? It's almost as if it repels anything clean i put on there it sweats out a soapy smell!
 
It happend 2 weeks ago, i was on a night out - we did have a curry, a chicken bouna?
but how long will it take to go? I'm so depressed with this, i wake up in the night and it's all i can think about!
 
Same shit happend 2day - its a real musky, soapy smell - not like BO

put on some linx and within 10mins was seeping the smell - hate this

Doctors 2moz?
 
just took a shower, anti bacterial soap - put on some antipersprent sat down and within 10mins my arms kick out this Horrible distinct smell again i aksed my mate to smell and he said he could!

what the hell can i do?:(
 
Have you tried using antipersperant instead of deodorant? Then anti. will stop the wetness and odors. Deodorant just sort of covers up the odor. Have you stated taking any meds or changed your diet recently?
 
ive had 2 weeks Holiday so yes my diet has changed abit and ive drank alot and not much water maybe thats it?

Anti is what im using and it really kicks out a soapy headachey smell!

I dont really sweat with it but i can feel the armpits active!
 
hormone changes causes you to swaet alot. these sweat mixes with bacteria and cuaes the uncomfortable situation esepecially with overgrowth of bacteria. Get some anti bacterial soaps and ani-bacteria body wash. If no changes then you need to see a doctor to give you perscription anti bacteria wash and also to check for other things. Oherwise I think its overgrowth of bacteria .Good luck
 
Try changing the brand of deodorant/anti. you use. I had something similar happen to me - was using the same brand deodorant for years and years and all of a sudden started to notice this strange smell and like you it wasn't a regular body odor sort of thing either but a sort of chemical, strange (hard to describe) smell. It drove me crazy!

I did some of the things you did - antbacterial soap, then baking soda then nothing at all - after using nothing but baking soda for a few days the smell was gone - tried my deodorant again and BAM - it was back so went to the store and got a different brand - compared ingredients and most have the same active ingredient however my old one contained 2 inactive ingredients that the new one does not - they are:phenyl trimethicone and cyclodextrin.
I have no idea what they are or if that is even the reason why I had the problem but as soon as I switched I was back to normal - no more funky odor!

Give it a try - can't hurt to try a different brand.
