Bad odor!

Your story reminds me of an episode I once saw of Mystery Diagnosis. On the episode a woman tells her story of suffering for years with an unusual body odor that she finally discovers is caused by a metabolic condition called Trimethylaminuria (TMAU). She was able to then control the odor through some dietary changes. I am not suggesting that you have that specific disorder. But since normal hygiene measures are not relieving your condition, then getting some medical advice about other possible causes could only help.
Good Luck!

If it's dietary then it should just take 2-3 days after the last time you eat/drink the problem item.

If it's a yeast or bacterial imbalance, it would have to be treated by a doctor.

If you don't think that it's dietary then I'd go see a doc. Smelling different can also be a sign or underlying illness.

It could. The odors our body produce in sweat, breath, urine, etc. are all affected by what we eat. Consider how urine can smell really bad after eating asparagus, for example.

A good water filter might help- it can get a lot of the junk out. Otherwise, you might want to switch to bottled, or get a reverse osmosis system. You don't say if the water is unhealthy or just smells/tastes bad.

yup it didnt really help - its a real strong like chemical smell - not a BO smell as such - very potent and musky!

i went to the docs but wasnt smelling at the time :( he said my nose was inflamed so that coud be it but im not convinced on a nasel spray for 2 weeks but i dont think this is the source anymore suggestions?

my glans are up abit - inflamed nose and also woke up drenched in sweat last night - in the day i feel fine in myself bar this stupid smell!

nope - ok so problem calmed down abit this week with no deodrant - went out clubbing last night and absolutely stank again?

GRRRRRRRRRRRR

not as bad again 2day!

it's a real soapy smell - i washed with bacterial stuff this morning and it wasnt as bad, but when i got home i sprayed with anti and now its real bad again - got some anti bacterial soap now to wash with - but how long shud i give it to clear up b4 i go see a doctor?

I don't know if it will be the same for you because everyone's body chemistry is different but the ingredients that are NOT in my new deodorant (but were in my old one) are -

phenyl trimethicone

cyclodextrin.

Also you want to try a solid instead of an aerosol can? I have a problem with those too.

If nothing works maybe you should see another doctor?

Have you tried using nothing for a few days? Maybe just some powder? I know it may sound strange but I used baking powder and after a couple of days the smell was gone - this is how I figured out it was my doedorant - by using none for a few (maybe 5 days?) then trying again and it came right back and so I switched.

Hi again - I would try to go a couple more days without anything if you can and see if the odor diminishes.

As for what I use - Lady speed stick - I know you're a guy but pretty sure they do have speed stick for men or you can try the one I use but just get unscented. I use the solid - not spray, roll on or gel.

can you show me a picture of it online?

thanks for the help guys!

Been alot better today - kinda seems like it does react to the spray or deodrant - but why would i after years of using stuff suddenly get this?

and yes the water looks bad!A filter is in need!

Definitely odd that deodorants seem to make it worse, but if you want to try MENNEN SPEED STICK is is available in the UK on Amazon in the "Health and Beauty" category. 4 different kinds, ladies and mens.

P.S. Sorry the website I posted got asterisked out. Against board rules. With a little searching you'll find it.

You can also try a wonderful deodorant called MITCHUM-often recommended for particularly stubborn odor. They sell it at Tesco.

Did you wear deodoarant when you went out clubbing? If so was it the same one you were wearing before?

If you can't find the Mennen just try something that has different ingredients than your prev. one.

Most have the same active ingredients. What I did was go to the store - found my old brand and then compared the INACTIVE ingredients - found one that DID NOT have two that my old one did and tried it.

So far so good!

If none of the suggestions work for you maybe you can see another doctor and get some bloodwork done? Have your harmones checked - get a good work up maybe?
How about the natural deodorants? (thought I saw someone on here mention them?) I don't know anything about them but would have tried it if I hadn't found something that worked.

Good luck! I know this is a very frustrating situation.
