Bad films that you enjoyed

I've just read the worst films ever thread and boy there where some stinkers in there, but some films that got nominated I did enjoy, 12 Monkeys being one. It just goes to show that it is all down to personal taste, and I have none.

Anyway that thread got me thinking about films that are so bad they are good (does that make sence?). One that springs to mind is Pitch Black. After watching it I felt as though I had had a lobotomy. It was jammed packed full of clich

Well a bad film that i actually liked was Jack Frost lol!

Bare in mind i was in year 6 when i went to watch the film:rolleyes: .....11 years old lol! Our school went and took us to watch it ! I thought it was quite funny at the time...........but back then i liked any old shit that had special effects in it lol.

Ah 1998.............the year when i was ever so care free lol. I cant believe it was FIVE YEARS AGO now:eek: ......time freaking flys over my head lol.

P.S. I never could remember the title of Jack Frost lol, i always called it 'The snowman dad movie' lol!:D ;) :p :)

Pitch Black was worth it for the "Did not know who it was ****ing with" line alone. Also th ealiens looked cool, as did Vin Diesels eyes.

Have tosay I liked Twelve Monkeys too. I can't believe it made the worst movies list, I thought it was compelling viewing.

My guilty so bad its good secret is Armageddon, I just love the way Bruce is always lit to make it look he's carved out of bronze.

There are so many films out there that have been so bad it they were good, too many to list.

But I have to disagree with kmx1974 I thought Armageddon was good. I was in flooRAB of tears when Bruce died.

How about the Police Academy series of films?

Absolute classics. I have the first one on DVD, just wish the others were available... ;)

12 MONKEYS? One of the worst films ever?!? Surely some mistake -- it's easily one of the finest SF movies ever made and one of the few Hollywood remakes that can actually stand proudly next to the original (Chris Marker's 1960 short LA JETEE, itself a work of genius).

As for bad movies I've enjoyed despite their awfulness, what about HURABON HAWK -- a famously terrible movie that I've seen 3 times -- or SCOOBY DOO? The latter is utterly diabolical but I've seen it 5 times (I worked at Odeon over the summer) and it's actually grown on me!

When Saturday Comes,a brilliantly observed comic parody of Football

oh no it wasn't was it ? it was a straight drama :D

any old tosh Stallone has been in especially that one where he throws that guy out of the bus window because he sits in someone's seat :D :D

If we are talking about the thread which started on 16.12.2002 I would have to say that from the films listed on page 1 I enjoyed at least 7 films. One man's meat is another man's poison.

Otherwise I have not enjoyed anu bad films

For some reason if I see Freejack on satellite TV I will usually pull a beer from the fridge and sit down to watch it

It was slated by the critics, but had a great cast and the storyline wasnt bad at all

There is a difference between a bad film (Nightmare on Elm Street 2 was a hilarious film , so much so I almost got thrown out of the cinema from laughing ) to the real stinkers that appear now and again. Am I allowed by law to get a refund if the cinema film turns out to be total tripe ? (thinking of advertising, honesty legal decent etc etc )

The first two were good, number 3 was passable (mainly because I fancied Steve Guttenburg when I was young and he wore a wetsuit in the film!), but the others were horrendous!

How about Galaxy Quest? I thought it would be real tat, but I laughed all the way through.

Or (can I bring myself to say it) Mannequin? *hangs head in shame*

Also, pretty much any film with Judge Reinhold in - God knows why!

That was intentional. It was a comedy by Tim Burton!!!

my nominations are

Bad Boys (funny but cack!)
Face Off (so cack it was funny!) hopefully this was intentional
Godzilla (just about watchable first time around)

Anyone heard of a film called Judgement Night? My friend told me it was awful but I loved it!! It was from 1993/1994??? Its about a group of frienRAB going to a boxing match, they get lost witness a gangland murder all in the first ten minutes!! They then spend the rest of the film trying to run away from the gang leader through the back streets of Chigaco! It had Emilio Estevez and Stephen Dorff in it. Kinda trashy but i really enjoyed it!

Is that the one where they come across an abandoned cafe or something and they go in there and end up been arrested at the end??
If it is, then I have seen it a few times and thought it was OK too.
