AZ to propose a law that would deny citizenship to children of illegals

I'm an immigrant and man that shit is lol.......but Arizona understands that right now Mexico is a violent shit hole. States that border it need to strengthen their borders. The federal govt won't do shit. Do not be angry at Arizona for being aggresive. Though I think shit like that is overboard you can not let your state be over run by rats from another sinking ship and sink yours.
 
How is it punishing the kids at all? It's not like they are filing charges against the kids or anything. They won't deport the kids without also deporting the parents, and we have enough orphans and parentless kids in this country already, we don't need to start providing support for little illegal babies whose parents come here just to have kids so said kids can obtain free citizenship.
 
I am 100% fine with people coming here to better their lives, that is why we need to fix legal immigration first, give people an actual alternative to coming across the border.

Until then though we need to enforce our laws and our borders. It's a shame that all politicians want to do is win elections though - it's not sexy or controversial to talk about legal immigration and it's not easy to fix that so they all just babble about illegal immigration which is largely just a symptom.
 
The Constitution only states that a natural born citizen can run for president, it never states what a natural born citizen is. It's well within a states rights to define that for themselves.
 
Not really, if the kid is born in the US he would be American, if his parents are Mexican then he can apply for Mexican citizenship whenever he wants or his parents can take him there and do it for him but he isn't automatically a Mexican citizen himself because, well, he wasn't born there.
 
what arizona legislators have proposed is not within states' rights. it's a preposterous political stunt.

Nowhere did I say leave all heritage behind, but you cannot come to the US and want to better yourself and your children and not learn English and adopt a more Americanized lifestyle, it will only hurt themselves by not bettering themselves
 
So you did it right and are fine with people who don't have to go through the same hardships and hassles that you had to go through? Because I do have a problem with it. Do it via the correct channels or don't do it at all. And coming here nine months pregnant so you can spit out your kid on our soil to guarantee them citizenship isn't doing it right IMO.
