Awesome films from our childhood we may have forgotten

Bugger looking at your films so far they are all in the 80s or after. I'm older so go back a bit more.

The Amazing Mr Blunden
The World's Greatest Athlete
Escape to Witch Mountain
Return to Witch Mountain
Herbie Rides Again
One of our dinosaurs is missing
The cat from out of space
Bugsy Malone

Looking at a lot of those titles they look like a pile of crap lol

Family Guy quote :D
Lois: Hey I know, lets play a game. Now I'm thinking of a movie.
Meg: Is it an action movie?
Chris: Who's in the movie?
Peter: Wait, is it a good movie?
Lois: Eh, it has its moments.
Peter: Cool Runnings
Lois: Yep!

Tron, fell in love with it as a kid, now I work in Computer Graphis......go figure. :D

The Black Hole. People rag on it, but I loved it. Did'nt really understand the end when I was younger, so just dismissed it. Loved the rest of the film, neeRAB a remake.

And the first "weird" films I fell for. Eraserhead, Farenheit 451 and Brazil......

Poor little guy.

Seeing as you're showing him the 80's,I would recommend:
Muppets Take Manhattan
Neverending Story
Return to Oz
BFG
Supergirl
Heathcliffe:The Movie
Masters of the Universe
Teen Wolf
An American Tail
The Boy Who Could Fly
Short Circuit
Batteries Not Included

Some may be derided by adults, but all are very entertaining to young boys.

Here's a few that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

One Crazy Summer
Back To School
Happy Together
Can't Buy Me Love
Caddyshack
Ferris Bueller's day off
Some Kind of Wonderful
Doc Hollywood
Secret Of My Success

Homeward Bound

I always used to cry when Shadow couldn't get out of that muddy ditch thing  and cringe when Chance had all those porcupine needles stuck in his nose *shivers*

I think many would remember Ferris and Caddyshack but I remember watching Secret Of My Success a fair few times.

One Crazy Summer was another one of my faves. The ending reminRAB me of Summer Rental.

If I think of it John Candy starred in many of the 80s classics. Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, The Great Outdoors, Who's Harry Crumb, Brewsters Millions, Planes, Trains..., and several others.
