Avenged Sevenfold

I like his playing style, and I like the influence of marching band experience on his drumming, but he's not really anywhere near the calibre of a pro studio musician or metal player. I think most people are attracted to him because of his personality and style rather than his creativity and technicality, and that sort of sums up my problem with a lot of popular music.
 
Avenged Sevenfold has been my favorite band for four years now. I think they're probably the most AMAZING band ever. Plus, Zacky is BEAUTIFUL (:
 
hello, I'm new here I I joined just to ask this question.

My frienRAB don't listen to metal as I do, (they listen to crap) but they do like Avenged Sevenfold, somewhat idealize them. I've been surfing itunes for the past week or so trying to find new music, and I came across megadeth. After them, i decided to check out AS for my frienRAB, thinking about buying one of their albums. But when I started listening to AS, I thought I heard a strong reserablence between AS and Megadeth. I'm not sure if it's just me, or did AS take on after Megadeth?
 
Exactly my opinion as well. I just find A7X has good different music as well as personality. And they certainly have their stupid elements too, for sure. The good just outweighs the bad.
 
Meh, well it doesnt really matter what people on a forum think anyway they are selling out shows and getting mainstage on ozzfest, probably the best metal tour going round..... damn look where selling out gets you.... im sure they are spewing all the people on this forum hate them.
 
their a sick band, its too bad about m. shadows throat surgery though, i miss the screaming on their new album. they did adapt to it well though.
 
No competition. Just looks like a big argument's gunna break out.

He probably thinks Whitechapel is br00t4l because they are on the more death side of deathcore.
 
maybe, but that's cause he ****ed up his voice from screaming and ****. while their vocals arent that great, they have some pretty damn good hooks in their songs
 
yea, they've had better stuff in the past, but c'mon i think the album is great, maybe you guys jus dnt like that fact that Shadows isnt screaming, but yea bad idea to start a thread on how a band "sold out" even thought they didnt, thats when people start to argue and get into pointless bickering.
