Ava as a girls name- Orion as a boys?

I've never heard of Ava or Orion, which is a name of a car?? However that doesn't mean I don't like them. Ava Anne is lovely, the double barrel is a bit of a mouthful I'd stick to Ava Anne ( Or Eva Anne is nice).
Orion, too much like onion to me! I think Edward Orion sounds better. I prefer Sebastian Edward, or Sebastian Joseph if it were my choice. But its not its yours! Good luck I'm sure you will have a lovely baby xx
 
How do you feel about Ava as a girls name?
I want Ava Anne Hartman or Ava Anne-Lynn Hartman.
For a boy I've only considered Orion- I've loved it since I was a kid.
Middle name for Orion is either Edward or Joseph (both after my grandfather- so no changes there) but what do you think?

Another thing, I hate common names like Dylan, John, Peter, etc. so don't bother with them. I like names like Tristan and Avery so don't knock an un-traditional and non-overused name- I'm just simply asking which of the two name combos I should use.
 
I love Ava, but can't use it- I have a 3 y/o niece named Ava.
My husband and I actually have chose Orion for our little one if it turns out to be a boy, so I do like this :)

I should mention that Joseph was a middle name that my mom suggested for us to use for Orion too...It was my grandfather's middle name. My baby is due next year on the very day that my grandpa died this year. I won't actually use Orion Joseph though because I have a cousin named Ryan Joseph! Our Orion will be Orion Matthew, since Matthew is his daddy's first name.
