ATTN: Israel, I have the solution to your problem.

Not talking about their occupation, simply how they brought Germany to its knees to stop the violence.

You'll notice that West Germany was just fine with a more democratic government...and is still doing quite well today.

k i know where this is going

and i know you will refer to the citizens when i bring them up

but we were powerless to do anything to prevent our government from invading iraq... remember only Congress has the power to declare war.. that unfortunately, was the collective decision our elected officials came to..

but if you ask me if the Iraq war was justified, i'm indifferent.. if you ask me if Israel's defensive measures against Lebonon was justified?, i'm for it.

and yes... the civilian deaths, etc is not that they didn't want terrorist out of their country.. but honestly.. ideally people need to take responsibility for their actions..

So the fact that the Lebanese people were warned (pamphlets) isn't considered.
The fact that Hezbollah occupies elected seats in the Lebanese government isn't an issue.

If the Lebanese were truly anti-Hezbollah, they wouldn't be there. If the Lebanese people are so split over the issue, then wouldn't there be a natural geographic separation between supporters and non-supporters? Not 100%, but over time, very pronounced? And if the Lebanese people are too weak to stop Hezbollah from occupying their land, and Hezbollah's presence truly is unwelcome, then can we legitimately condemn Israel for attacking an aggressor that occupies foreign territory?

I don't see why that would even make a difference?

They didn't go in to AFGHANISTAN half-assed, take it from someone who got his house bombed while living in it.

If Russia wanted to flatten Afghanistan and bomb it into submission, they could have. Russia certainly had the military strength to occupy it and remake it to their liking. It wasn't their objective to do so.

Afghanistan was Russia's Vietnam.
The USA could have subdued North Vietnam within a few months, but thats not what they tried to do.

Um. We elect the people that make those decisions. We've had an election since the way began to get people into office that would do something different. We didn't. Based on your logic, we all should be collectively responsible for the atrocities of the mighty.

Hezbollah holds 20+ seats in the Lebanese government.
Somebody elected them to power.

regardless, the Lebanese government refused to follow UN resolutions. They've been allowing this to build.

There is only one way to deal with an enemy that won't quit.

You must incapacitate them.

impossible to differentiate.. because of our officals, we went to war.. regardless of public opinion..

but lets not focus on american politics and what we can and did do... we're the sole superpower.. that itself explains many things..

but, i think what Israel is doing is very well justified, unless someone could provide something compelling to argue against my opinion..
i usually dont' express my opinion, i often objectively argue..

dont talk about moral issues.. both sides are killing people and killing as they regard it as.. immoral.
