Has there ever been a society or culture that has been predominantly atheist or agnostic? What was the outcome? Links/references?
While Taoism and Buddhism may or may not be considered "religion" since they do not believe in deities -

Orthodox Christianity is Russia's traditional and largest religion.

China: Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam.

North Korea: Buddhism and Confucianism.

Cuba: Catholic

Greece could of been.
There were a lot of greek philosophers who were agnostic or atheist and it seemed no hate groups descended on their houses.

That would be neat. I'd rather live in a hippie community though. Riding bikes, all growing veggies and fruits for all to use, recycling everything and living in peace. Make all of them atheists and I'm pretty sure that is "heaven" on Earth. Well, to me hahaha. Thumbs down go ahead, do it... You know you want to.

In my country most people are atheists.

The outcome? Well, we live our happy little lives...some happier than others...

Hmmm. Thats interesting :)

In my opinion, spirituality evolves. So I definitely think thats where humanity is heading (God help us all) lol but I doubt it, or very few anyway.

Id like to know too though if it has already happened.

The Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cambodia, and Cuba come to mind. The outcome? You must be really young if you don't know.
