Asian Horror

I am a big fan of Asian horror and I was wondering if anyone knows of any movies that are going to be released in the near future. Also I heard about a year ago that Hollywood was going to do a remake of The Eye. Has this been shelved?

do you know Shutter? its a thai film by Parkpoom Wongpoom (or something like that, youll have to look it up)

think this is gonna get a remake soon.

I understand that Hollywood is remaking Oldboy. The orginal Asian film is well worth watching in the meantime.

Oldboy is a great film and I would also recomend Lady Vegence as well when that is released on DVD!
I remember reading about the Oldboy remake and I am sure I read somewhere that Nicholas Cage wanted to be in it as he loves the original!

I've saw Oldboy as well and to be honest I thought it was drivel.

Really? Well it won the Grand Prix Du Cannes 2004. But i suppose it depenRAB on personal taste. Lots of folk like Audition, but i didn't rate that much. I thought Oldboy was very good, though not as good as Ring and Ring 0, which are my favourite Asian films.

Same here it also took too long to get going. My favourite Asian movies are A Tale of Two Sisters, JU-On, The Ring but the one I like the most is Phone little Yeong-Ju palyed an amazing part in that film.

Some people have already meantioned A Tale Of Two Sisters which is good as well and believe there is also plans for a remake of that film as well. It does the majority of Asian horror films are being remade!

Asia is a big place, not just confined to India and surrounding countries. Japan IS in the East of the continent of Asia, therefore East Asian.

Battle Royale 1 & 2 are both really good.

Just saw Ichi the Killer the other day - really good but confused by the ending! Also very gory!
