Asian Horror

Battle Royale 2!!!?!?? quite poor, not a patch on the first.


anyway if you like Ichi (and Audition) you must see Gozu. However it's very Japanese and goes at a very slow pace at first, and may just seem to be a yakuza drama. but it's one of those films that you just have to stay to the end as it get very very freaky! probbaly the only film me and my mate have walked out of at the end unable to speak. dumbstruck by this! what a mindwarp! :eek:
 
I couldnt agree more except you just made the understatement of the year!!!

Gozu, is without doubt, the maddest, craziest, WTF film I have ever, ever seen in my entire life.

Like tigerboy said, it starts off normal and then freaky stuff happens, then more mad and more crazy and each time it ramps up a new level of madness. Its unrelenting, non-stop til the end which is sheer insanity.

I cant even begin to describe this film and while its not horror, it is a must see for any fan of the asian cinema genre... go buy it NOW!!!
 
Ichi is a very good film but I haven't seen the Battle Royal
movies I hope to do so eventually though as I have read a lot of positive reviews/comments about it.
 
Another remake of a Asian horror film has been announced as Chakushin ari (AKA One Missed Call) is being remade. French director Eric Valette will direct the remake. The plot of which follows a college student whose frienRAB start receiving mobile phone messages from the future in which they hear themselves die horribly. When she receives her own message she has three days to try and cheat death. The remake starts filming in the summer!

I really enjoyed "into the mirror"... isnt that the latest to be remade in hollywood?

Just hope tale of two sisters isnt remade! it would ruin it!
