okay, i'm an asian guy.. 100% asian that is lol.
and i'm planning on going to a european country like, belgium for example, for my further studyings after college. i've never been to any of the western countries. all of my travels i've done so far is all in asian regions.

and so i'd like to prepare myself as much as i can for such things like culture cross and culture shock.

so what do i need to know about western or european cultures ?

any kind of suggestions, advices and things are welcome. thanks in advance and please answer nicely, no spamming.

Depends where you go exactly in those countries. In the cities everyone is pretty much normal you wouldn't really notice anything hugely different about them but in the smaller communities the people are much more cultural.

Belgium.Thats the last place I would chose. They eat a lot of pork and are very catholic. They are a very friendly people. They have massive industry with Braun cohl, and the country is becoming more affluent as international industries expand.I used to teach Business english there and found the people to be helpful and kind.

well i don't know about you specifically but when Asian people come here they seem to be really polite. over here in da wild west ;) being as polite as Asians usually are is sometimes annoying and makes people uncomfortable.

and same goes for other peoples manners some people might ignore you when you talk to them or seem very rude to you but they actually don't mean to be offensive

Don't tip, remember to split the bill when going out, don't be overly loud and don't be surprised when people don't thank/apologise for everything like Americans do.

Northern Europeans tend to be like East Asians in manner.
