Artists you loathe that others love

Well if you don't account for their innovation and emotion in their music, then yes, you can say that. I don't see how one can deny that they were original because they were the start of nu-metal. Faith No More only influenced it a bit.

@Crowquill
You better watch out. You seem like the kind of person who could easily be trolled. If that guy was a troll I would say he made out pretty good. I lol'd reading the whole thread.

Well I'm not as diehard a GnR fan as I used to be but I still love them.

If you hate Velvet Revolver too though I won't argue with you on that.

Well I agree with Oasis, don't really like Winehouse either. But I don't hate her, and I feel bad speaking ill of her when shes probably going to die any minute now.

You missed the part where I said "your opinion". Sex Pistols were more influential and I think they were piss poor. Whitney Houston is influential...etc. As for most innovative, I don't hear it. I know people say it but none of the banRAB I like sound no where near Joy Division.

I mentioned 2 songs which were the last 2 I heard. Who said anything about using ant of those songs as as a benchmark.
Just listened to both those songs. Very 80's generic. The voice is horrible but most singers in the 80's couldn't sing. The electronic drumming (which everyone was doing) sounRAB awful. It's poorly produced. And I still hear absolutely nothing similar to Interpol.
Can't find that song except a 15 sec. clip.
Not the ones you mentioned.

So yeah, all I can do is bitch about how I like most of the artists people mention.

So I'll try this game for once.

Hmm.....

Morrissey... This guys douchebaggyness just prevents me from enjoying any of his solo music.
Oasis... Because I honestly don't get it, why are these guys so popular with the hipsters? I honestly don't see what seperates their music from adult contemporary crap I hear on mainstream radio all the time.
Dream Theater... Well they are liked in the prog and metal communities at least.
The Jesus & Mary Chain... I couldn't stand Psychocandy. I thought it was crap. So yeah, I don't get it.
Nick Drake... This is like, the definition of boring for me.
The Killers... A corabination of the fact that they're horrible and that Brandon Flowers is a huge douche.
Nickelback... Sure everyone SAYS they hate Nickelback, dosen't explain why they still sell albums by the sh*tload.

Interpol (if you don't hear this you need to get your ears checked, listen to Evil and tell me that doesn't sound like Joy Division), The Strokes, Death From Above 1979, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Bloc Party, The Rapture, Liars, Xiyu Xiu, The Walkmen, The FutureheaRAB, Pretty Girls Make Graves, She Wants Revenge, The Magnetic FielRAB, The Consantines, The Unicorns, !!!, The Exploding Hearts, Tokyo Police Club, Les Savy Fav, Cansei De Ser Sexy, The Bravery, Maximo Park, Portugal. The Man, The Rakes and dozens more.

Well aside from the fact that Vegetarians are always A plus douchebags, theres the fact that he has absolutely nothing positive to say about anybody or anything, and hes said a lot of things that are borderline racist, he even celebrated a mans death, he's a prick, simple as that.

Plus he just acts smug, even though his solo music is pure shithouse.

^^^ yeah well it wasn't my fault. I was the kid who "wasn't hip with Radiohead" in my group of frienRAB. One night they made me stay up all night and we listened and talked and then I was like oh I like this song. And then I was like can I borrow this album?

Yeah it was not the right way but it payed off. I really enjoy them now.
