I have, since about fifth grade, been determined to go to college for animation, then go to Disney and be an animator. Even now, that sounds like fun, but reality has set in, and I don't know how likely it is for me to actually achieve that. I hear that it's more probable for me to end up working at some fast food restaurant for the rest of my life.
It's also been pointed out to me that, not to sound snooty, I've got enough intelligence that I could do something in another field. I've thought about that, and I love writing as well, and considered going to college for creative writing or something for awhile.
The more I think about it, the harder it is to choose one or the other, and the idea of going to a state university (Ohio State University, for example) and double majoring in Art and Creative Writing.
It seems, though, that there are no colleges with decent programs in both fields...at least none of the ones I've looked at do. Does anyone know of a college I've missed?
And for what I suppose is the root of my question: in your opinion, what should I do? Is one of these ideas stupid, or does one have more likelihood of success than another? I don't really know what sort of answer I'm expecting, as it would surely differ by opinion, but more opinions never hurt, and they would certainly be appreciated!
