Are you voting for Obama just because you hate W?

These are pretty much my reasons. I don't dislike McCain so much, but his VP pick was just absolutely terrible. She has no history, and unlike Obama, she certainly hasn't shown that she has the insight or intelligence to make up for it.
 
mccain realizes bush fucked up too. no one wants to reelect bush. obamas economic policy is extremely dangerous considering the times we are in. i would love to vote for obama since i am a social liberal, but on the most important issues right now, he is dead wrong.
 
Nice speech except it is the politicians, the corporation is going to do what it does, make money. It doesnt care about externalities the only thing it cares about is increasing the bottom line year after year. It is the politicians who deregulate and allow the corporations to run wild which often ends up hurting the consumer, ironically. Deregulation is fucked up anyway you look at it. Obviously over time there will be fuck ups and shennanigans which then creates a rule preventing them from occurring again. Politicians only change them for personal interest, period.
 
I really could care less what you think of me, and the fact that you need to lecture me shows what a huge ego you must have. And me laughing at you has nothing to do with my statements not being valid. So i am not sure where you are going with that

How about you quote what is in-valid, and maybe we could discus it.
 
this is false, if you look back on our history, we made our democracy a two party system, for a reason, thus being to unite the country not separate it. if we had 9 different parties to suit ever-ones individual needs then we would end up electing a president who only got 23% of the total vote... You'd have mass chaos.
 
please explain obama's economic policy and mccain's economic policy and why obama's would be detrimental looking at history and why mccain's would be beneficial to our economy
 
I'm not saying there would be 9 parties, but one of the third parties could overtake the Republicans. Or compete with both parties and have a 3 party system for a while until one of the parties faltered.

Right now we have 2 options.

- Fiscally conservative, Socially conservative.
- Fiscally liberal, Socially liberal.


Most people I know don't want more taxes and want a smaller government, but they also are all for gay marriage, abortion, and want to stop warring with countries around the world.

If everyone who was fiscally conservative but socially liberal were to vote for a 3rd party this election season then we'd have a 3 horse race.

But as it is now we get 2 options:
- Tax the crap out of you and spend it on poor people.
- Tax the crap out of you and spend it fighting more wars.
 
wow. you can get as smart as you want, but with that kind of arrogant attitude you will never be a happy person. im out of this forum, ill find a more mature place to talk about this stuff.
 
im new to forums, and i guess i didnt realize its normal to be a prick online. i just meant that when you act immature i will take your opinons and beliefs as coming from someone with an immature mind.
 
its funny, i have never met a likable political person. hate to break it to you tough guys, but you don't have all the answers. no matter what side you are on, theres always someone that would destroy you in a debate. so check your insecurities at the door, and grow an open mind.

don't get me wrong, there are a ton of great republican debaters that would destroy anyone on this board, but i have never heard one that supports the mccain/palin ticket strongly enough to argue for them...very few people seem truly excited about mccain - more people are excited about palin but can't justify it other than saying "she's hot" or "i'd have a beer with her"...this is not how we pick the leader of our nation people

you'll find a more mature place to talk about what? how you've heard some idiots on the radio or tv throw around the word socialist so that scares you about obama? just because i'm being hard on you doesn't mean i'm not showing you the facts and giving you reasons to vote...i've answered all of your questions and you keep coming back with responses typical of people who only listen to and hear one side of the isle

and for the record, call me out on my life all you want because i do live a very happy life - i'm not going to share my annual income, but i'm 25, just bought my first house, have a nice sporty little roadster, and a lot of other things going for me (a secure job in the financial market...imagine that) - keep misjudging though, you seem to be good at it
