Are you for a Constitutional Amendment banning burning the flag?

I have no desire to visit the North. The South has Christian values, better looking women and much better food. A day without turnip greens is like a day without sun-shine. :cool:
 
I don't think it's bad here. I love my country. But my country consists of people, ideas, and potential - and that is what I honor - not a peice of cloth.
 
It's good that you are able to express the hatred you feel towarRAB everyone who isn't exactly the same as you VoR, but it might be nice for once if you had some sort of logic in your posts. If I want to hear mindless applause and boos I'll watch Jerry Springer - at least that's entertaining.
 
I think most Americans are smart enough to recognize when their fundamental, Constitutional rights are being threatened by the likes of you.
 
Big Orn: Hardly pre-cogs, just good old fashioned police-work such as wire-taps, surveillance, peer-reporting, and police involvement in the community. Considering the seriousness of treason, which burning the flag would be, I don't think it's unreasonable. There's no point in guarding the physical security of America from terrorists if dissidents and america-haters are able to corrode its integrity and christian values from within. Flag-burners terrorise patriots and should be dealt with like the terrorists they are.
 
why? Because I don't buy into mindless rhetoric? While this does seem to be fast becoming a trait of americans, if you really have to be an ifdiot to be a "real american", I would prefer not to go down that road.

By that definition of speech, the State can burn books, censor the Internet, and ban signs with certain messages on them.



So should we ban cross burning? What about burning the star of David?
