Are you for a Constitutional Amendment banning burning the flag?

If they truly died for something as foolish as defending a piece of cloth, we are better off without them. The gene pool does not need that kind of pollution. If, on the other hand, theyf ought for the ideals that the flag represents, such as freedom and liberty, your fascist viewpoint here is a slap in their face.

Your right, and amendment should not be needed but when I see let wing socialists burn the flag at their anti military/U.S. protests it infuriates me and the only way you can make them stop doing it is to make a law forbidding it.........

How far has this country dropped.......In the fifties no one in this country would ever even consider burning the flag..............
 
I'll say this. The military does wonders for a young man or woman that neeRAB direction, focus and dicipline in their lives.

People get out of the miltary being twice the valuable person they were when they walked in. (Except those that get blown in half. Then it's a tie.)

The war part sucks, no doubt, but besides that, it isn't a bad way to go, in one's early years. I highly recommend it. But remember you are always taking the chance of actually having to put your butt on the line. It's a gamble.
 
Enlighten me then. Are you placing the flag above the country? Is it your GOD? Did you save the flag in some drunken skirmish? Are you telling me that you actually would die for a piece of cloth and rather than your country. Please I really want to know.
 
I hope you realize, then, that even though something is disgusting, prohibiting it will not make it magically go away. Prohibitions require resources in order to enforce, and for that reason they should be implemented sparingly - just like wars.

A ban on flag burning will cost something. And frankly, I think the cost is too high for what we're buying. You complain about Socialists burning flags, but I'll bet that you'll complain about the increase in taxes required to get enough money to enforce the ban and expand prisons. Ban flag burning, and the Socialists win!
 
I've heard there's not much diversity down there. One of my teachers said she visited Texas and her friend there exclaimed excitedly "that person's gay" and she replied "so?". This person from Texas had never met anyone who was gay before and when my teacher suggested that maybe she had met gay people and they just didn't tell she said "no" as if so sure that everyone in the south was a god-fearing conservative who knew that being gay was wrong. Get a little diversity, visit the north sometime. Doesn't need to be permanent, but for a vacation or something, it wouldn't surprise me if you have never been out of your state in your life.

My views are well known.

It is not the controbution I have a problem with. I always like REMFs. Tehy gave me bullets. What I did not like is when they opened their mouths and pretended they knew anything at all about what men were dying for or what it was like to be in combat.
 
Actually, it is the people of little faith who advocate for theocracy.

Such people have no faith in the ability of their God to punish sinners, and they think the State neeRAB to help God out. That doesn't sound very faithful to me.
