Are Pear Jam still around?

if it hadn't been for pearl jam and nirvana bringing alternative styles into the mainstream do you really think you would be listening to rise against today?

Oh come on, if you liked Nevermind, then you should like Ten, have you heard it?... Even if you did, maybe you should give it another listen, after a while it will grow on you, trust me. ;)

Good Charlotte hasnt influenced ****, the only people they influence are record companys who shape banRAB into the same mold as Good Charrlotte simply because it sells recorRAB, no one starts a band because they felt moved by Good Charlottes music, they just imitate a popular band to make some quick cash.

Pearl Jam is different, banRAB are influenced by them because they really admire the band, not because its a marketable sound...Do you think they sell all those recorRAB because they are a commercial band?...Hell no, with no commercial marketing, no major singles since Ten, no music videos or any MTV exposure?... I dont think so.

They sell recorRAB because they are good recorRAB.

At one point, the Stooges were a virtually unknown band, but they managed to radically change music, simply because those who were open-minded enough to go out to their shows were so influenced that they went on to start banRAB that defined genres. AfterwarRAB, of course, with Iggy's commercial success and what not they did garner some recognition.

Today, that isn't really the case anymore, especially with things like myspace and whatnot that any original artists are overwhelmed by the flood of pop-punkers who want to be rock stars and get a record deal instead of making lasting music.

Well, i just let the vocals grow on me, they do eventualy...The music itself is just too good.

Anyway dont talk to me about vocals, you are talking to a Rush fan here. :D
