Are kicker Speakers any good?

I was looking at the DS series speakers for a sound system. 2 pairs of 5.25's and a pair 6x9's. I was just wondering if there crisp or detailed like alpine. Because I know for a fact that kicker is loud but not the most crystal clear. So I was J/W
 
Kicker speakers are very good if you are looking for the thump more than the crystal clear sound as you mentioned, I reccomend getting kicker subs and maybe alpine or cadence 6x9's. I am running on two cadence 4.5 and two cadence six by nines. I have two kicker comp 12in subs in the trunk pushed by a fosgate 1000w amp, and it sounds pretty good. I have the thump along with the clarity of the cadence speakers.
 
it all depends on what you are looking for. kickers are all round good speakers. for more clarilty just adjust your buttons. they are more for sound though
