Are feminists responsible for the age of courtesy being dead?

I think most guys still would like to treat women with courtesy but we're too afraid to because you get frowned upon for it. I'm lucky I have a nice girlfriend and she's a lady and I'm able to treat her as such but many women don't really know what they want. They frown on you if you treat them right yet complain if you treat them too much like an equal and want special treatment only when it suits them.

I'm all for a certain amount of equality, don't get me wrong, but I don't like how most are and look down on you if you treat them like a lady. Some want to be men and there will always be differences. You can't change natural instincts no matter how many laws.
@ Fraggel. Yes I know but I'm talking about dating and getting decent girlfriends. Generally I try to treat everyone with respect.
@ Bunny. We3ll said. That's what I mean. Say if I hold open a door for a random lady the chances are you get looked at daggers or no thankyou or any manners. I hold doors open for anybody but on the whole other guys have said thanks and women not been too pleased.
@TUTF, Wonder about what?
