Those that have crunched some numbers say it is. Keep it simple though, picture yourself living in a small city of about 30,000 to 60,000 people living in it. So far this year about 134 people have been killed in that town over 70 of which are Americans. That's roughly the coalition military population is in Afghanistan. If you look at it that way, it's not a safe place to be. I'm not sure we have any cities of like size in the U.S. with that kind of fatality ratio. If we do, that's one place to avoid.
