Well, if they're going to cry about it. . .

I didn't understand all the hype about the iPhone until today. I realize exactly where Jobs and Apple stands on their products, and it's beyond aggravating.
Steve Jobs and his narrow minded, self centered, and arrogant company, Apple, took a look at the current state of mobile phones (based on the current models supplied by US carriers) and seemed to be very disappointed. "Why can't these devices hold as much music or play movies like our iPods?", they asked. So they set out to design a phone with what they thought would be the best features in the history of the world without any need to expand on it (3rd party apps) or give mention to any other companies efforts (Quote: "The last thing you want is to have loaded three apps on your phone and then you go to make a call and it doesn't work anymore," -Jobs to the New York Times). "We are Apple after all, right?" So they announce the iPhone and it blows the ignorant US masses away, while the rest of the world has questions. "No 3rd party apps? No Microsoft Office support? Why didn't you include UMTS? Where's the autofocus and the flash on your 2mp camera? I can't download music from iTunes with it?"
Now they're threatening to sue theme creators for using their icons on Palm and Symbian devices? (they should be honored to see such a thing in the first place) Also, there isn't a copyright on the images. If they didn't want people to see or use such icons, then they should not have posted images of the UI in the first place. That, or put a copyright on the images themselves. Then, they'd have to not allow photography at the iPhone's premier. This is ridiculous.
I didn't have a problem with Apple until now. For this reason alone, I am all the more anxious for the N95. I don't need a 5mp camera and I don't need GPS, but NOW I need the phone that undoubtedly defeats the iPhone and its ignorant user in every possible way.
