Anyone Watch The Wright Stuff?

I quite like the Wright Stuff and don't have a problem with Matthew Wright other than when he cuts people off who don't hold the same views as him. I like Gail Porter on the panel. There is a head teacher of a private school who is always in the audience which puzzles me. Why is he not working in his school at that time in the morning?
 
Agreed, re: Carol Malone, when Andy Hamilton was on the panel and they were discussing Rebecca Addlington, the force with which Carol Malone said 'Rebecca Addlington put herself up for ridicule by doing something so public', looked like it was about to push Andy Hamilton up to the wall!

I can't stand Dominic Holland, I used to think he was ok, then he made some imo, ignorant and stupid comments about civil partnerships and today, he said there's millions of jobs about. Really? I've been unemployed since September and the number of jobs advertised has been reduced by at least half possibly more, the websites I visited when I was unemployed before, now don't advertise anywhere near the number they used to and the job sections in the local paper is now much thinner than it was.
 
Just watching this morning's Wright Stuff, it's a bit rich having Stephen Gatley's partner alongside Dominic Holland, given the latter's comments ignorant comments about Stephen's death.
 
Being a student, i am a regular viewer, find it quite addictive. Has anyone noticed the same audience members seem to crop up, do they get season tickets or something. That bald guy in particular they cut to a lot (how sad am i i've noticed that:o)

I HATE some of the panelists. Carol Malone, Dominic Holland, Lowri Turner, David Van Day and Anne Diamond are all unwatchable. Anne Diamond in particular, banging on about "Britain becoming like Big Brother" etc. while at the same time demanding video games be banned....
Plus, i really have to question some people's decision on being a panelist. People like Angelica clearly have no clue about current affairs, so pick another show to plug whatever it is you're plugging!

I like Kaye Adams, Terry Christian and anyone rational really, who don't use the phrase "PC gone mad."

Dominic Holland even uttered the phrase "if this were a straight couple there'd be no fuss.." in regarRAB to the Jan Moir article, and i sensed some awkwardness when he said something about the guest being Jewish the other day.

But what is the point in that guy in the audience, they rarely cut to him. Anyone else a fan?
 
Wright seems to be a bit of a embittered soul. Doesn't like children, animals or married couples :D or maybe he doth protest a little too much about his single status.

The panel can be hit and miss. Many of them are quite a righteous bunch, particularly the likes of Carole Malone and Lisping Lowri Turner.

I watch the show occasionally, but they don't give enough time for the topics these days.
 
A few years ago my wife and I were in London fr our wedding anniversary. We were walking through Whiteleys Shopping Centre in Bayswater when a researcher approached us and asked if we'd like to be in the Wright Stuff audience that same morning. It turned out they were short of audience members and it was broadcast from a studio above the shopping centre.
 
I'd rather see him on there again than Dominic Holland, whose general comments I find ignorant and ill-informed.
 
Anyone know why Ian Hyland doesn't do the tv critic bit any more?

He used to always do it, then they dropped the spot altogether.
But they brought it back this year and Ian did it for maybe one or two weeks and now some other guy does it.

Why did Ian disappear?
Anyone know?
 
watch it every day more or less...used to really annoy me when Matthew cut people off - remember him saying to one caller it was 'his show' ooo get him! he seems to be a lot better now - think the producers must have a word!

as said before panellists vary...agree about Carole Malone - what a self-righteous old cow she is :rolleyes: an don't like Dominic - too bigoted and seems to lack a sense of humour considering he was (is?) a comedian :confused: used to like Lowri in her younger days but she seems to have turned into a bit of a shrew :( can't go without mentioning that wise old sage & giant intellect that is is Gail Porter - how would i cope without her worRAB of wisdom :D:D:D
 
Who is the American guy who comes on now and again, who thinks he is funny but is a funny as a broken leg. :rolleyes: Matthew Wright has to stop him talking all the time because he trys to say things which he knows he shouldn't. That guy is a nightmare on the Wright Stuff - cannot stand him.
 
I really liked Lowri Turner when she was first on TV, just seems have become really bitter as she's become older. I never used to mind Dominic Holland, till he made ridiculous comments about civil partnerships and his rather sweeping and stupid comment about how there are jobs about.
