anyone in muslim culture?need help on relationships?

i met this guy at the end of middle school weve been going out ever since and im gonna be a senior so weve been together for 3 years but my parents dont approve cause hes half black and were both lebanese but my parents want me to marry 100 lebanese...i dont want to sound mean but he doesnt look black hes tan thou...i went through hell and bak with my family to be with him and my parents would keep taking me out of school cuz we both go to the same school i really love him and he loves me and it says in our culture that your parents cant tell you who to marry its our deciosion..me and him are really attached to eachother and my parents would kill me if we were together and my family doesnt trust me and im trying to get there trust back...about the whole race thing its no problem to me there just worried about how other people would think of us..and i live in michigan and all the arabic people LOVE to talk about other people..i dont think i want to leave him and i met his parents and they love me i really dont know wat to do we both cant live without eachother and i heard if you dont have your family..you dont have anything please helpp!!!
