Anyone here hate "Twilight"

I read a review that said "if you buy into the romance it'll be great, if not you'll be hysterically laughing"

I was the latter.
I thought it was one of the worst films I've ever seen. Cringeworthy and angsty. FOR GOD SAKE CHEER UP!

And at one point I had tears streaming down my face with laughter at the ridiculousness of the whole film. I was getting evil glares of the vampire fans. But it was bloody HILARIOUS. I can't remember the line of dialouge but it was the wolf-man...

I don't go out of my way about it, but when I have two screaming girls in my face in the cinema wearing 'Team Jacob' tops and protesting that it's "like the best film ever" then I'm gonna give them a mouthful. :)

I never slated it, I just think it's cr@p. And I reserve the right to tell someone that when they come into my place of work (a newsagents/bookstore) and when they ask me what I thought of it and I say 'I haven't read it' I get the following:

Girl 1 - 'what's wrong with you?'

Girl 2 - 'It's the best film ever'

Girl 1 - 'Ohmygod Edward's so hot'

Girl 2 - 'So's Jacob'

Girl 1 - 'Bella's a loser I hate Bella'

Girl 2 - 'She totally doesn't deserve him'

Girl 1 - 'Ohmygod you really should read it'

Girl 2 - 'Yeah really only losers don't like it'

Me - 'Girls, I saw the first film and read the first book. I though it was rubbish'

* cue 2 shocked stares and gaping mouths*

Girl 1 - 'Freak'

Girl 2 - 'Weirdo'

(This is a word for word repetition of what happened on Saturday afternoon)

I'll always watch anything with vampires in it but I'm not a fan of Twilight. I could relate Twilight with Cheryl Cole both have been media hyped into something they are not

For the life of me I can't understand all the drooling for Robert Pattinson, when there is better looking actors and who I think would command a better performance. I didn't like the dude in HP either.

But come the 20th the media will go into over drive and make us all think we are wrong to think bad of twilight.

theyre not the worst films ive ever seen, but, theyre all so bland. the main characters are all bland, the storylines are bland, the script is bland, the central romance is stunningly bland. Its not AWFUL, just all quite.... meh.

From what I've read/seen about this whole franchise, it just looks to be High School Musical with fangs instead of songs. Give me Vampire Circus or Daughters of Darkness anyday - that's the kind of vampire film I was into as a teen.

I was given Twilight DVD as a gift without knowing a thing about it. I watched it thinking, well, there's nothing else on TV tonight, so why not.

At the start I thought it was trying too hard to be "Arty" and a bit boring, but the scene when the vampire brought his girlfriend home to meet the family caught my attention because it was a little bit funny and once the action started I started thinking "This isn't too bad".

I found it to be one of those movies that doesn't quite grab you, but once it's done you realise you quite enjoyed it.

I'm looking forward to the sequel, but I'll get it when it comes out on DVD. I'm too old and intolerant to queue at the cinema with the tweenies to see it, but hype or no hype, I can tell what I like.

Well perhaps it was love at first bite!!. or perhaps it would have been better if Christopher Lee made a cameo appearance!! cos his input might have been a pain in the neck :)

Gave the Twilight sage a go last year when the first film came out and my brothers gf insisted I would LOVE it.

Thought the film was pants. Figured maybe the books were better. Thought the first book was pants and gave up totally.

Can't see what all the fuss is about to be honest. Or is it because I'm a 28 year old bloke and therefore just won't get it no matter how much I try?

I've seen the first movie and really enjoyed it. Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) really helps with that though :o I am seeing New Moon tonight and can't wait :D

I just haven't read the books yet but I've borrowed the first one off a friend today so will get cracking reading it either tonight or tomorrow.
