I am sick of seeing the words twilight, edward cullen, hannah montana, the jonas brothers etc. etc. mentioned EVERYWHERE all over the internet!
when i was a tween, i watched cartoons of bugs bunny, the powerpuff girls, spongebob squarepants and read harry potter. But i was also never obsessed with them. There were those overrated tweem entertaines in the 90's as well. Who can forget the leo-mania and britney spears in her glory days? But i was never a follower of those fads. it doesn't help that the quality of entertainement for kids has seriously gone down in the last decade.

There will always be "Tweeny-Bopper" stars like that. Hannah Montana isn't gonna last for ever. But there will be a new show just as popular that you might think is just as annoying that will come out after it, that all the little kids will fall in love with again. Also Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers is the kind of music that the 7-12 year olds like.

I chalk it up to bad parenting. These children are not being taught properly about talent, art, or to have taste in anything worthwhile!

Yes, so annoying! I couldn't care less than I do about the 4 things you mentioned! Sure twilight was okay, but to go fanatic over it? I will tell you right now I am 16 and was never like "that" when I was younger. or now for that matter.

Well I really hate Hannah Montana .. but kids need something to like. I'm sure people got annoyed by us when we were "teeny-boppers" & the things we liked.

I just ignore it.

What exactly is your Y!A username?

Additional details: now that you've changed your username, I can answer this question properly. Yes it's annoying when you aren't obsessed with any of those things. I like twilight (not obsessed with it) but the others bug me to no end. So it depends on what end you are on. It isn't directly affecting you and soon enough the teeny boppers will be adults and the new groups of teeny boppers will [hopefully] find something less annoying to obsess over.
