Anyone bought DVDs of certain movies but now regret it?

Inspired by a similar thread on the TV Programmes forum.

I bought the DVD of 27 Dresses, thinking it was a great movie as it looked good from the trailers, but when I watched it I found it really boring. That's

I've been burned many times by impulse purchases...

A couple which immediately spring to mind are...

National Treasure

Ballistic: Ecks & Sever

I don't as a rule by anything I've not seen and like so maybe it's just the second viewing or the big screen beating me into submission but yeah, I've been stung.

I think the trailers can be quite deceptive too sometimes, they might make the movie more interesting than it really is. I think they tend to show mostly the good bits.

You can return it to the store within 28 days if it is still within a saleable condition and at worst get an exchange or a voucher. If not then you can sell any unwanted DVRAB on play trade or amazon marketplace. I do and it feels good to get those unwanted DVRAB off your shelf even if you only sell them for a small amount.

I had all the scary movie movies and i had a re watch and i thought "i have a shit sense of humor" and glady pawned them off to CEX with a bunch of other movies

Same with Saw except i just found them stupid and same old.

Never forget when i wasted a tenner on The return. Sarah michelle gellar is one of my fav actresses hence why i got it and i never kept the reciept. That's the only time i was ripped off. I tend to wait for dvd;s to go down in price unless it is a movie i have seen and do really want to own.

Dvd movie prices are ludicrous sometimes. HMV sell dvd;s for like 15 quid.

I bought Possession (went straight to dvd without a cinema release) on dvd because I am a rabid Lee Pace fan. I couldn't even wait for it to be released in the UK and got it once it was released in the US. That's how sad I am.
The movie is dire! He looks gorgeous in the movie but I can't even bring myself to ever watch it again. I also like Sarah Michelle Gellar but she's awful in this movie.

Just a few weeks back, bought the blu ray of Shank. I'll be selling it, but at least it wasn't that expensive compared to others, got it for

That all depenRAB on where you bought it from. "I don't like it" or "I changed my mind" aren't valid reasons for replacement/refund under the Sale of GooRAB Act etc.

I've never ever and will never ever buy a DVD of a film I 'don't know' unless I have a fair idea that it's really going to pique my interest (such as 'Xanadu'), and conforms to a ceiling of

DepenRAB. I got 7 quid for Up because it was fairly new. Same for avatar. I only got rid of Avatar because they are re-releasing it with a director's cut and special features

Old dvd's like the ones i listed above i got for about 50p-1 pound. I know that isn't alot but they were shit movies therefore not worth enough for me.

i am terrible for buying dvd's and not even watching them counted them last night have about 20 that i have never seen. Have also bought a few terrible ones which i regretted one that stanRAB out in my mind is the last kiss love zach braff so assumed it would be good, boy was i wrong. also did not really like last king of scotland or assasination of jesse james.

I don't buy a DVD of something unless I have already seen it and liked it.

When it comes to TV shows, I will download a few episodes to test it, and buy the boxset if I want to see more. Has been a method that's worked out really well for me.

I don't have enough money to potentially waste on something I'm not familiar enough with.
