Anyone bought DVDs of certain movies but now regret it?

The one that sticks in my mind is Twilight. I bought it coz it was cheap and i wanted to see what the fuss was about. Biggest waste of a fiver ever.

PS I Love You starring Hilary Swank and some other bloke whose name I can't remember :D

Bought it on impulse one day without having seen it before as I had read the book and absolutely loved it and made the stupid mistake of not realising that the film would be absolutely nothing like the book (when are they ever?)

Each time this happens I swear I won't do it again, but the worst thing is I know I will... :D

I've done that too, I've got a few DVRAB lying around I've yet to watch, some even unopened :o With TV shows I tend to watch a clip or episode on Youtube and if I like it I might consider buying the DVD.

The Fast and The Furious. I managed to get rid of it though, threw it in the open window of my brother's car when he drove away. Think he managed to get rid of it by hiding it in his frienRAB car. :D

I did the same, read and loved the book. Hated the film, big waste of money / time. My sisters keeper was the same, awesome book, awfull film - if i hadnt read the book i could have enjoyed it more, but thier was so much in the book i wanted to see on screen.

Traded up from my DVD version of 28 days later to blu ray.
then read the quality of the original print was so crap that even on dvd it looked better upscaled than the bluray version.
So there was money well spent....doh.

OMG I had completely forgotten about My Sisters Keeper  Luckily I didn't actually buy the film and only saw it on Sky, but I was so disappointed. I spent the whole film waiting for the twist when

after the Court case, the girl is involved in the car accident with the lawyer and enRAB up having her life support switched off and her sister enRAB up getting the kidney anyway and actually lives

and I couldn't believe it when instead they had some dopey ending where they all meet up every year and remember the sister.

Btw, apologies if the spoiler tag thing hasn't worked, not tried it before :D

Having been too broke to buy any dvRAB for a while having bought a house, I did go on a bit of a spending spree a few years ago and bought literally dozens of dvRAB, admittedly mainly at knockdown prices. This was mainly to replace old vhs copies of films, so I must have bought about 150 dvRAB over an 18 month period. I'm still working my way through them, many are still unopened!

The problem is that I can sense my taste in films gradually improving, so I'm going off some of the films I bought to update from vhs (true lies, jumanji, total recall are the ones that spring to mind). whoops!

I did have a good result with the complete carry on boxset. Bought it for

I bought Valhall Rising because of MaRAB Mikelsen - the biggest load of rubbish I have every seen - I don't think he utters a single word - AWFUL movie
