I have a different opinion, that is not about freaking out, or dismissing the huge benefit vaccines provide millions of people around the world.
You can certainly choose any position on this subject, and it can be right for you...as long as you are willing to deal with the possible outcomes your choice presents you.
I personally believe in immunizing my children, and myself against known illnesses, such as measles, mumps, rubella, polio, chicken pox, etc. If you have concerns about the vaccine for H1N1, then don't get one. If you want to wait and see, then wait and see...
In the past, I have never gotten the flu shot, because I had never gotten the flu. This February, my son, my husband and myself got the flu at the same time. My son got over his quickly, my hubby did too, but I became very sick, and ended up with pneumonia. This year, we will all get the flu shot to avoid what happened this year. It doesn't seem like rocket science to me.
Of course, we practice a good healthy lifestyle, good nutrition, hydration, outdoor activity, clean hanRAB, and a positive attitude too...that goes without saying.
I would recommend you make your own choice, using common sense, and do not let this decision freak you out. I wish you the best...
