Any other Monk fans out there?

I love Monk but don't have Sky so no Hallmark for me and I work Saturdays so don't get to see the lunchtime one iether. I ask for it to be shown of an evening
 
The UK DVD won't be available for ages, as it's not even been shown on TV yet. However, you can get the Region 1 DVD from Amazon, so long as you have a multi-region DVD player. But be warned, I checked yesterday, and the DVD will set you back a good
 
That would be great! I really don't understand why the BBC and now ITV haven't done more with Monk, it would be a ratings winner if it was on at a better time
 
Thanks nhodkin. :) Unfortunately I haven't got a multi-region player, and I can't afford to get one either.

I'm guessing it'll be yonks until we see season 8 on our tv screens.

Can't even see it on youtube, because of copyright. :(

I'm tempted to find out somewhere what happens in the season finale, but I don't want to spoil it for myself.

Yep, discovered in recently (last Christmas) and think it's really entertaining. One of my favourites is Mr Monk Gets Shot, his comments in the hospital are hilarious.
 
Yep, another fan here; it's a comfortable ensemble now and enjoyably contrived. When I was only catching it sporadically I thought it was supposed to be a serious police procedural.. until the producers admitted on the DVD extras that it is, in fact, Sherlock Holmes in the modern era.

Must say though there are times when I find it hard to laugh. Adrian Monk is a man crippled by grief and at times I think I shouldn't be laughing.

At least, it seems, it is going to end with a resolution, not just conk out as so many series do.
 
Monk is excellent - Randy Disher cracks me up :D Some of the Trudy-centric episodes can be quite touching too. Kind of like a cross between Rain Man, Columbo and Police Squad. Miss it!
 
I have to admit, the episodes where Monk reminisces about Trudy choke me up a little. They're rollercoasters. One minute you're laughing yourself silly as he's hoovering his hoover, the next you're fighting back the tears as he's stroking a picture of Trudy. :(
 
My wifes mad keen on it. Wont miss an episode & I've got to shut up while shes watching!!!!! I even have the Monk theme on my mobile so I know its her phoning me.

I bought her seasons 1-7 on DVD ages ago but she doesnt know how to work the DVD player so hasnt watched them yet.

If I am in the room while shes watching I go on this site or theres this one.
 
One of the best scenes ever is on Quest right now.

The one on Korn's tourbus.
