I was riding on the highway and this Harley tore past me, so I pursued and we stayed neck and neck for about 10 miles. I guess a 500cc engine doesn't like going 110mph for that long, because all of a sudden I'm going 100, 90, 80, and then 70, and could barely maintain 70 with the throttle held opened (I was a half mile from my house at this point, or I'd have stopped).
Now, I can't get the bike to rev past about 5-6k. It idles well, but is far harder to get started from a cold start. If it gets above about 2k rpm's, the engine noise is lower than the whine it used to be - accompanied by a ticking noise.
Any ideas?
